that and all the tea drinking....tea made with an electric kettle, natch. And sleeping naked next to them under a "proper" duvet

Stop it... you're turning Alan on!

electric kettles, proper duvets and proper bacon are what make the world go round

Hmmm, maybe I should forget about Canada and strapping young Canadian men. Maybe I SHOULD move back to the UK. That all sounds so lovely.

PPS: Julez and I totally had to turn down 19 year olds gagging for it but we are responsible trollops and even though illegal substances were proferred we said NO. Because we are saving ourselves for dominant Anglophone VJ real men. You know who you are; we are waiting.

Did you forget the room number? lol

No, we hesitated for about 2 minutes outside the door, listening to their voices. We thought that it was just too weird. If we had gone back directly to the room with them that was one thing, but another all together to go back to our room, put on makeup and go down. It was a little desperate.

Edit to add: even for us! Well, I don't include Julez in that.

What's your brother's number again?laughing.gif

You counted the chips? wacko.gif

OK, so we are trying to get pregnant also, will you be my delivery boy? Just pick up what you wife craves, X2. laughing.gif

We are trying to get pregnant ? Hey take in singles (cricketing term). First you, then him and then live on the newspaper fees !

You could use the BP method which is like carpet bombing the problem.

I am sure the little blighter will arrive eventually but be careful what you wish for - I went to school with kids and they are 'orrible

They become greater probs as they get older - what with their breast cancers and divorces and bankruptcies and car crashes - and then it starts compounding with all the grandchildren's woes . Sorry for the dash of social realism there, but enjoy your time before it all starts...

This is not a policy of despair or a half empty thing - just the opposite - it means we can be happy with any situation as there are two sides to everything. In the words of cat stevens - 'If I ever lose my legs, I won't have to walk no more'. He meant 'any more', but I allow him that coz the sentiment is valid.

Oh Tracy - don't fall into the trap of saying that when they are 18 etc they will be off your hands coz it gets worse

exponentially !

My little tiny tots are 40 him and 37 her - and they are a nightmare ! Of course they just need guidance from me coz they are not old enough to know anything yet - praps when they grow up. I was planning to be an enormous burden to them in my old age and sap all their money - but here I am in the US with my own wad and a rich young chick for a wife so my plans have been foiled.

There must be some way I can pay em back for all the anxiety they have caused me. There must be some sweet revenge.

Of course your little blighter may be like my friend Keith's daughter. She has just bought him a LEXUS ! Yes you read that right - she bought HIM !

One thing I do know is that the bringing up of em guarantees nuffink ! I know families of 2 little angels and one black sheep and they were all brought up the same. jeez would you like mine while you are still keen on the idea ? Save you a sore batty next time if you adopt mine.

I will throw in a nice cot (crib)... one blonde one bald no gingers - can't say fairer than that.

Congratulations, eeek man.

Mrs. T-B. forgot about the cherries, but awoke from a 2-hour nap to find me off-polishing the antepenultimate spoonful of ice cream (chocolate, thankfully) and went apeshat. I had to (rather speedily) embark on yet another expedition to buy four more mangos ("very hard, and very green!"). Some ice cream was also part of the supermarket purchase, and all was well after two of the very hard/green mangos went down the newly bottomless hatch. She then said, "I want soup!" and began to eat the new ice cream (which, in fairness, was semiturgid).

And, she has twice threatened to begin calling Miss Daffy (the cat) "fea" (ugly, in Spanish) if I continue to call "baby" by the (to me) completely appropriate "Cletus the Fetus."

Just 7+ weeks into this. Please shoot me now, si man.

I am SO happy I have chosen to live a sprog-free existence. biggrin.gif Nothing anyone says about childrearing ever makes it sound attractive.

After having done four loads of laundry in 105-degree heat indices, I want dinner, which was requested in this turnabout-is-fair-play fashion: "Sometimes, pregnant wives make their husbands a tuna sandwich, si man."
