Irritating BS your SO does

This is minor and will go away very soon since David will be here...but he leaves his Skype on when he's at home all the time so I never know if he's going to be there! It is SO ANNOYING to be hopeful to talk to him and then wonder if I should wait or not...

Most of the time I'll just call him up and tell him to get on :) I have this great sprint card that I got about 5 years ago that I keep adding monies to that, about $15 for 200 minutes.

Non-irritating, I was in a car accident on Sunday (someone hit me pretty badly) and it really shook me up and the lady is now saying that she didn't hit me at all and then my car was towed the next day for $125 pick-up (had no idea that I was in a wrong spot) and I got pretty depressed. David's in Scotland doing some conservation work and he had them drive him to a village so he could find a pay phone to call me and say that he will come tomorrow if I need him here :luv:

Maybe we should start the mushy sister of this topic?

Nik got set up with something called "Skype In" which I really liked, because he was the one at the computer (time difference, it was usually later at night for him, of course) and I was out of the house. So, if I needed a little "Hi hunny....I miss you! OK, bye!" at work, it was a quick local call for me. Likewise if I was spending the weekend at the parents, or any other places where I didn't have the computer as well.

I'm afraid a bunch of (soon-to-be)newly weds will be completely insufferable in a mushy sister topic.

When you have a fight with your SO, and it takes forever to make up because you're both so stubborn. (Not that I would know anything about that. :innocent: )

Jon has a tendency to cut onions on the cutting board and then only give the board a quick rinse afterward, rather than a good scrub to get rid of the onion residue. I innocently come along later and cut up an apple on the same cutting board. Flavor migration ensues, and my glorious apple slices taste of onion! F*ckin' shi!tcock!

Joyce, that language and your avatar/signature are quite a juxtaposition....

Anyway, the other lacking thing I find when the men in my life (dad, Nik) do dishes is that when they wash pans they only do the inside. Meanwhile, the outside, which may have had splatter or drips goes unwashed (or worse, wiped so it's all spread around), and when I go to pick it up, my hands get all sticky!

I try my best to not tell Nik how to do chores, and I promise I don't bang the pots around TOO much when I re-wash them...

I have to say, I got lucky there. If Bill has nothing to do, he naturally takes out empty cups, folds laundry, makes me a cup of tea. I got a gooden.

I even got him to learn to wash the cheese grater after using it...

Stop asking them to cook and do it yourself?
