I have a question....we have an attorney helping us, now our NOA2 has been approved and gone to NVC I'm not sure of the exact process. I've looked at the guide on VJ but still unclear. I emailed the attorney yesterday to ask what the situation was and he said 'we have paid the fees to NVC and once we receive a confirmation notice from them we will be able to submit the remaining documents'. Is that just the start of the NVC road? Sorry to sound stupid, but I am in the US visiting my petitioner husband at the moment so am concerned that if I get sent paperwork to my home in the UK I wont be there. I dont even know if NVC will send me (or hubby) any paperwork as we have an attorney as our agent and he has all the documents he needs.

Any light shed on this would be much appreciated - it was easy just waiting for NOA2, now it's getting confusing!

Well since you have the lawyer as your agent he would be the one listed as the contact on the DS-3032 choice of agent, also if they have your emails or the lawyers it's all over email correspondence from this point on so you shouldn't get any snail mail from NVC. In the simplest terms NVC isn't as confusing actually

DS-3032 > AOS Bill Invoice > pay AOS > when it's PAID print coversheet and combine with AOS packet > Mail AOS.

Then the same steps repeat for DS-230.

depending on circumstances some get to mail them off together it just depends, hope the rest of it goes well for you.

Yes he does, he has all of our civil documents, and also hubby's I-864, a copy of which was sent to USCIS with the I-130's for me and the kids to prove he had enough income to support us, so I presume they will send the original with all the other papers to NVC. They also have my police certificate, can't think of anything they DON'T have lol.

Hey I hope everyone is doing well, it's been busy for me this week, I just called NVC again today after waiting from last week and they finally said they received the documents on NOV. 30 (crazy delay from getting into the system meh) hopefully everything is there to their satisfaction and they can finish processing it soon, probably will end up getting a janurary interview, but I'm okay with it hoping for some cheaper prices with tickets and reservations.

I agree, the lawyer should keep you in the loop the whole time or their not a good lawyer in my opinion, hope there's no more errors on their part. It's good for you to know the basic flow of the process at least.

Yeah it takes two weeks to go from the mail room to NVC system, another 2 weeks for final review and case complete. Wishing you speedy SIF & CC.

yea I know about it and it's nowhere near as bad as USCIS I'm thankful, I'm hoping for a speedy SIF though so we'll see what happens~!

Ohhh my gosh I think we messed up the DS=3032 my hubby just emailed it and I just read this, Is it true you have to sign it by hand then re scan it......uffff this sucks, he dosen't have a scanner soo blah. Do we have to send it in all over again?

First, call NVC to get your NVC casenumber. If you don't have one yet, call back daily until one is issued. This will be the PAPERCASE CaseNumber (see SpeedBumps, below).

You must send an email to a special NVC/GUZ/MTL address, with the DS-3032 (PDF version, SIGNED by hand & rescanned), with the pertinent info in the body of the email. See

After 5 months, an RFE, we are approved!!!!!! Ahmed and I were doing a video chat when the text came through. I said OMG baby I got a text but I am scared to go see the site... he said why? no sure you got to go look, so I did... AND WE ARE APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!! Soooo make way NVC here we come, and we are fired up!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! Thank you God!
