The NOA2 is not required for DS-230 submission. They may ask for it during the interview. But that's unlikely.

Where did you read that the NOA2 is required for DS-230?

It's a possiblitiy that I might have got it confused with the interview checklist

Well if thats the case I can mail it off as soon as my husbands IV packet arrives, but it would still be nice to get the NOA2 since it is hard proof of the approval and has the notice date on it =/

Maybe. Don't worry about not having your NOA2 hard copy too much. You can still proceed with NVC.

NVC does not need proof of your approval sent from you. They already have your approved case from USCIS.

Yes is true, i asked around... NOA 2 is needed for medical interview though!! No?? Markieboy is that correct?

In most cases, the beneficiary is REQUIRED to show a copy of NOA2 to take the medical exam. But these are in cases where the beneficiary takes the medical BEFORE receiving any interview appointment letter.

OTOH, the petitioner is NOT REQUIRED to submit the NOA2 for the AOS package or the IV package.

And one more question. how long the Police Clearance Certificates (PCC) is valid for to be accepted ? the beneficiary consulate is Morocco . THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

hmm well hubby will wait for appointment letter for medical anyways, but as far as NVC is concerned I'm glad it is not needed for now at least.

The ds-3032 you need to receive from them. Pls check my page for more answers!! I got great answer today from another member. Basicly all you need is to check ur payment portal, pay AOS, receive barcode, send the AOS package & afterwards they will send you ds-3032 with barcode. That is linked with IVth package, last step... Dont lose your time sending it, i sent it 4 times & was useless!!!!!!!! I just have to wait...

PCC is good for up to 3months, 6months, or a year depends on the country.

Nigeria is for a year. Hope that helps.

You can send in the email but it won't be accepted by NVC until they have emailed you the bar corded version.
