Just sent in paperwork 2 weeks ago. Got my NOA1 on May 19...

Still not able to look my case up online, but called and lady told me its in and that the system just lags a bit.

I guess we all will just wait. According to alot of the timelines up here CSC is processing cases pretty quick...

I hope you'll be able to check for case updates soon, hopefully it'll get fixed? The timelines are an estimate and based on what people enter for their visa journey timelines which is why it's important that people update it so that we get more acurate processing dates =).

The processing dates on USCIS went up to 6 months for CSC though =/ dunno what to think about that hopefully it won't take a full 6 months, but try to be prepared for anything.

I start my new job on Tuesday (yay!) because I need the money to save up as much as possible .

I enjoy hearing from all of you and hope that things will go well for you all, I will try to post as often as I can and reply to everyone :3

Lets all try to be prepared for NVC your welcome to post your progress or ask me questions regarding checklist stuff, I'm pretty sure I know the checklist well enough! Our combined effort if we help each other however we can will make this process a bit more pleasant I'm sure =) , even if it's just in the form of moral support too!

Hello!! I filed April 22 and received my NOA1 April 29, so I'm borderline April/May filer. My case was last touched May 13... Two weeks seems like an eternity. But we do what we have to right?

21st May 2010 - USC hubby gets notification saying it has been received and forwarded to California Service Centre. (Is that the NOA1?)

Your welcome to post here also if you want congrats on your NOA1, it does seem slow, but don't let it catch you by surprise either try to get all your documentation ready for the next step at NVC =).

Your USC hubby will receive a letter in the mail from USCIS that should be your NOA1 it will say your service center and file number etc.

It might seem slow, but don't let the time run away without having time to prepare for NVC you can check out my checklist in this thread or go read the guides on this website, to help you prepare.

another good thing to do is get your police certificate as soon as you get your NOA2

Not everyone can go obtain a police certificate easily it's best that you go to the us consulate website for your country and read about how to obtain a police certificate in your country.

I know in the Netherlands you can't personally obtain one as the Amsterdam consulate does it through NVC something like that.

I am glad for you. Thanks for friendship.

But we were glad too early. We have found out a mistake. My husband did two separate petitions for me and my son. We have received two NOA1 with different numbers, but in everyone my name is specified as beneficiary only, not my son's name. Yesterday we called in USCIS. Then the husband has written the letter to them with a question on this mistake, has sent copies I-130 for me and my son. Now we again wait. I never thought, that it so is heavy - to wait.

Hang in there!

Try to call USCIS and see what the current situations is on where you stand and them fixing the problem. If you wrote them a letter and they accepted it thats good, but you need to keep track of it and not forget about it till they have fixed the problem. In the mean time you can also gather documents for the next step "NVC" it couldn't hurt. I hope it works out for you and your family.

How is everyone doing? Anyone getting any prep work done or busy with other things?

I originally thought I was an April filer. However, Igor's list has me in May. USCIS originally accepted the application 27th April (whew, that was a long time ago)but the NOA1 was generated 03rd May. So the waiting continues.
