congrats Can you tell what you did? did you fill up a form and send it to the congressman? or you contacted them on the phone? thanks

Find out who is your congressman. We 1st sent email to the wrong one... Nothing happened, then called them to ask about privacy release (meantime realised we also need that) & they told us hey you're not under our jurisdiction. We listened to a friend of my hubby who said that's our congressman!! Stupid mistake!! Never trust others, especially with important matters!!! So, VERIFY UR CONGRESSMAN!!

After we realised that the congressman was wrong, we called good congressman office & a privacy release was emailed to us, although in our case we also found it in on website. We filled that in, wrote a letter & also sent NOA 1 through fax Tuesday!! 2-3 days later, the Immigration officer from congressman calls us & gives us the news. I havent seen the Noa 2 yet, nore My case status hasnt changed, but i dont think they would mess with a congressional inquiry. Must be true that our I-130 is approved!!

Also the lady told us that NOA 2 will come in a week up to a month. I hope it comes in a week or so... anyway in a week i'll be calling NVC. The point is maybe some of u guys already got approved but the freakin notice didnt arrive yet. Dont bum yourselves up with the website, call your congressman to help you meanwhile you wait 4 hardcopy... remind that you sent smth to them to solve, talk to their staff, most likely they will help alot. That's their jobbbbbbbb!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My heart is with you because i know how it feels. I think i've complained the most around here. Maybe God wanted to save you from my whining!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL :D

Thankyou!

You think they can just do that send a denial letter? I always thought it was up to the interviewr to deny or approve people. =/

Not to worry you or anything , but yes even this early in the process you can get the I-130 denied, but not as common most of the time they give a chance for explaining things and asking for more evidence RFE etc.

Yes, like Love is patient said ... you might be approved just no website update yet.... ours has been at nvc since the 26th but the uscis website still says inital review... we didnt contact a congressman, we actually contacted our states senator . we chose the most famous of the 2 lol ... but a congressman or senator will work . probably doesnt matter . in our case, we called both the senators(1 week apart)...lol then if that didnt work we were going to call the congressman, and try everything we could think of ... cause sometimes we felt helpless looking at our case with no touches.. was going crazy ...lol but to everyone still waiting, hang in there ... i will say a prayer for all of us to be with our loved ones soon. that surely would be a nice Christmas present ..:yes:
