I'm sure they didnt even touch my file for 5 fuc*kin' months!!!!!! Our package was perfect acording to my husband. Background check can be a done in a day to a week (for me), maybe in a week, two,3-4 for ppl from "special countries" (Middle East or whatever). I'm a clean young person with no crime on my record... so is my husband, our package is more than ok... with evidence & everything. Missing documents?? They should inform you before 5 months... In my opinion lots of parts are dysfunctional. Why isnt USCIS site like Visajourney????? With lists & everything... & when someone gets expedited to say: military/medical/political issue & in rest ppl line by line getting approved, according to the filing time, that is more than fairrrrrrr etc. Dont worry when i arrive in US I'll apply for a job at USCIS & reform the entire system after i get promoted. :D PROMISS!! :D

I will hire you in a heart beat...any word on your petition?

If your on fire regarding no NOA2 then where does that put me?

I think I feel like going Supernova!

Just got done checking the mail and pretty much was zilch, nada, zip. I feel kinda fed up at the moment tooo almost getting done with week 3 out of the 5 month processing coming up on 6 months at this rate...why us idk. As far as why it's taking so long I wouldn't know either as I checked and re-re-checked my I-130 packet when I sent it off not to mention I would think we had clean records also and being our first marriage we didn't have any previous marriage red tape to deal with either. I'm gonna call USCIS tomarrow and maybe NVC if USCIS tells me to wait some more.

I'm still waiting too guys. Nothing in the post yet to clarify what further evidence they need. If its something our lawyer didnt put in (because we supplied them all the docs), I know my hubby is going to go ballistic, and I will just cry again.

This waiting and uncertainty is like torture.

USCIS

21.5.10 - NOA1

17.11.10 - NOA2 (there was a hold up due to incorrect information put on forms by our lawyer)

NVC

16.12.10 - All fees paid and everything received at NVC

05.1.11 - SIF and CC for my case only. Get RFE for my 2 sons as lawyer made ANOTHER mistake and made errors on I-864's for the children.

10.1.11 - Corrected I-864's received at NVC via Fedex

14.11.11 - Corrected paperwork entered on system according to AVR

17.1.11 - Medicals done

27.1.11 - My husband calls his senator's office and asks for help to get things moving.

31.1.11 - Finally got SIF for my sons!

I've heard about lawyers messing up with helping their clients in the process often for whatever reason, not saying this is your situation though, I personally felt better knowing all that was in my packet when I mailed it off though so I'd know if something was missing only I was to blame, and I felt better having control over that one thing as everything else in this process has been out of our control.

They said they mailed you a notice right? At least you would know that, I'm hoping if I do need to call today they can tell me something was mailed off so at least I know I am expecting something rather than just waiting not knowing if they did anything with our case as I have no clue what those 2 touches in a row ment.

I hope you get an approval letter too, denial would be the worst and even an rfe would be preferencial to that imo.
