May 2010 CR1 filers

So when is a good time to really contact congressmen etc. I mean they can help only a little right and if there's serious injustice they can put pressure to get them to make a decision, so where does that put us with being a few weeks overdue etc., what can/will they do if we contact them, and when's a good time to do so?

To be quite honest i dont know if contacting them will do any good or not... but like they say " i did all i could think to do" and when i got a response in the mail from my senator friday, it was like a sigh of relief came over me you know??? at least it lets me sleep a bit better at night thinking that "who knows" maybe it will wake someone up at California and dig out our dusty petition and look through it ...lol ... but to get to your question . from what i read any time after the 5 month mark would be a good time to call... i mean could it hurt??? I'd like to hope so too so I'll probably look into calling if I start feeling really impatient, thats why I gave USCIS a call today had to wait over the weekend and called first thing when I got home from work today, I just hope an inquiry/request about the petition doesn't slow it down or anything. I can agree with this process making one feel older, I know my hubby has a lot of stress from the waiting also, so it'll be a relief when we get to move to the next step.

I know whatcha mean..... It is really hard and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO very stressful to wait. My judy and i have been a couple since 2007 and it is sooo hard to see her on the webcam and all i can do is wait till the next trip is planned for me to see her in person..... thats 3 years of lost memories we could have had TOGETHER here you know.? but i do understand why the goverment does this looooong process to check people out b4 they come here , just wish they could do that a bit faster lol

Faster yes as I see they probably make enough money to fund as such I would assume with all the fee's of applications etc., it isn't happening for our group though, but I hope so for the sake of future couples lest they have to suffer as we do. 3 years together for us also and a lot of it is memories of being apart, but the visits even though it only totaled 8 months out of 3 years we had together we well than made up for it I think, but we are more than ready to be living together like a normal married couple.

Hi Guys,,, Waiting and just be a part beyond stressful and the hard thing that you just wait without knowing what is going on and no one ever would or could help. Our story not that far from all of you and here is my timeline:

04/26/2010 I-130 sent to Chicago Center

05/04/2010 Chicago Center recive our files

05/06/2010 we recive hard copy of NOA1 (First tuoch on that day too)

10/13/2010 Touched

10/14/2010 Touched again

165 days up to now and really so stressful waiting and don't know what will happen today or any day

Best of luck to you Jen and Geert, and to everyone who is waiting. Its SO hard, I check the USCIS website a dozen times a day, wait for the post every morning, and ....NOTHING! I know our time will come, but its so very very difficult....

Just did I-130 alone...Senator rep hasn't gotten back to me giving them till oct 24 which is when I reach the 5months mark.

Not knowing whats going on is the worst part next to waiting, but it's important to do what we can to be positive, I'm hoping for the best right now.
