I think update (touched) means they have your papers (petition) on a desk and out the petition waiting room..That's my guess...Good luck!!!

well, I got approved the 7th and I am still waiting for NVC case number, So about 2 weeks.

CONSULATE STAGE:
08-11-2010: USEM received the case.
10-11-2010: Called USEM, need to send ASAP DS-230 and DS-2100
12-11-2010: emailed DS-230 and DS-2100
12-11-2010: Received Interview date
16-11-2010: Medical Tests
17-11-2010: Interview: APPROVED
23-11-2010: Passport received :)

10-12-2010: Applied for replacement of S.S
17-12-2010: Received S.S card in the mail 7 days after applied for the replacement

My bad guys. My timeline on my signiature is messed up. My notice date is May 19. I called and they told me the 5 months is jus an estimate. I faxed my senators and congresswoman just now so lets see what happens...

06/14/2013: RFE letter received

06/19/2013: RFE response mailed back out.

06/21/2013. Package Received.

i have passed 5 months from some days ago , we called uscis , the immagrations officer told to my wife there is nothing wrong with our case and that she know how hard waiting bla bla bla , like she really know how it's really hard , then she maked a request to cali center to see what's wrong and why it's late , and gived confmation number to keep and call in 2 weeks , anyone think it's good to wait till 2 weeks pass or start to call senator ? i am just confused , if there is nothing wrong why they keep it by this way , i have really no idea ,, good luck to all of us guys

Contact your senator and congress person if your over 5 months. They told me its just an estimate and all you can do is wait.
