I-130 approved today after 160 days!!!!

Such a relief to be able to get past CIS. On to the NVC... I just called my wife to tell her; we were both so down last night, venting our frustrations, cheering each other up by talking about what we're going to do when she gets here. We needed this. She sounded so happy just now, I can picture her face...

Minted, probably the petitioner, since the congressman/woman is really beholden to the petitioner. Not sure, though, the beneficiary could try it too!

I'm just a little curious...what do you tell the congressman when you talk to them?

17.11.10 - NOA2 (there was a hold up due to incorrect information put on forms by our lawyer)

NVC

16.12.10 - All fees paid and everything received at NVC

05.1.11 - SIF and CC for my case only. Get RFE for my 2 sons as lawyer made ANOTHER mistake and made errors on I-864's for the children.

10.1.11 - Corrected I-864's received at NVC via Fedex

14.11.11 - Corrected paperwork entered on system according to AVR

17.1.11 - Medicals done

27.1.11 - My husband calls his senator's office and asks for help to get things moving.

31.1.11 - Finally got SIF for my sons!

01.2.11 - CC (Phoned DOS as NVC shut due to weather and they told me paperwork was completed at NVC on 1st Feb)

Hi guys, I came across this thread for May filers. My notice date was May 5 at CSC. I called the 800 number this morning and it said my petition for my husband got APPROVED yesterday! Just checked my email and my email notification was there too. I was so excited, I started to cry on my drive to work this morning. It has been a LOOOOONG wait for all of us and now it is nearing an end. Plus I'm leaving to see my hubby tomorrow! Icing on the cake B-) I pray for a fast and smooth process through NVC. And hopefully all of the May filers will have their loved ones home for Christmas.

My NVC Journey

10/6/10 - Case approved by USCIS

10/18/10 – NVC received the file

10/18/10 - NVC case # generated; Embassy assigned - Nassau

10/18/10 - Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC

10/27/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/28/10 - Emailed DS-3032 again to Attn: Supervisor Sue

10/29/10 - AOS fee shown as PAID

10/30/10 - Received DS-3032 kit via email (NVC emailed it to the wrong email address for the beneficiary and realized their mistake on 11/1)

11/01/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

11/01/10 - Beneficiary received confirmation of original emailed DS-3032 (emailed 10/20)

11/01/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid same day

11/03/10 - IV fee bill shown as PAID
