Thank you Atencio and Jen for quick answer.

That's what i thought (we should start getting it now) but for some reason my husband thinks he'll have a plenty of time to get it.

We already had one absolutely unnecessary delay - we used I-130 that expired in 2007 and got it kicked back after a month and a half, it took us another two weeks to send a new one. Two months lost right there.

I'm just not ready for another delay

yea the delay you get just with the waiting is more than enough you don't want to add onto that time for sure. Whenever you get a form to fill out make sure it's not expired =) and always double check your paperwork before you mail it off, checklists are a must have when filling out a lot of paperwork and gathering documents; it'll save you a lot of grief and delays. Keep us updated on your progress =)

Totally agree, i just imagine myself & others singing "Never ending waiting story.... aha ha aha aha!" Hilarious!! In time of stress is good to laugh, that's what i usually do! :)

laughter is good for the soul  , hopefully we can all look back on this with a grin and a laugh at how crazy it was and thankful to be out of it.

I've been really busy while waiting for that NOA2, so while immigration itself feels slow it also feels like time is going by too fast like I'm gonna be an old woman before this is over lol. Just stay busy and you'll find the burden a bit lighter. :star:

Here's that checklist I promised as well as links that I compiled it from hope it helps some of you =)

After NVC

Medical/Interview Checklist

Medical Exam (simple list)

_____ Set up exam appointment (must have interview appointment letter first)

_____Vaccination records

_____Passport/ID (for identification)

_____2 U.S. passport style photos

Interview Required Documents (simple list)

_____Appointment Letter

_____Passport (must be valid at least six months beyond intended date of entry to USA)

_____Police Certificate

_____Original Birth Certificate and copy

_____2 Color Photographs (U.S. passport style)

_____Original Marriage Certificate and copy

_____Affidavit of support (form I-864 and supporting documents)

_____Original Bonafides and (additional bonafides “optional but recommended”)

_____Results of medical exam (sealed envelope)

Some of this you will have already sent to NVC, after NVC processing they will mail the I-864 and DS-230 to your Consulate, it is probably a good idea to have copies of all the important documents just in case though~!

Day 115 now...still waiting....I am SO fed up and depressed with all this. I also get the feeling that because I am hoping to emigrate with my 2 sons and my husband had to file an I-130 for each of us it will take even longer. Who at USCIS is going to want to pick up a file with 3 lots of forms in and work on that??

I've just looked at the timelines, and I would dearly love to know how some people get approved in such a short space of time (without expedite).. There is one on there that got approved in just 7 weeks! It's so unfair. Are some countries favoured more than others? Does anybody know how this happens?? This is doing my head in......

USCIS

21.5.10 - NOA1

17.11.10 - NOA2 (there was a hold up due to incorrect information put on forms by our lawyer)

NVC

16.12.10 - All fees paid and everything received at NVC

05.1.11 - SIF and CC for my case only. Get RFE for my 2 sons as lawyer made ANOTHER mistake and made errors on I-864's for the children.

10.1.11 - Corrected I-864's received at NVC via Fedex

14.11.11 - Corrected paperwork entered on system according to AVR

17.1.11 - Medicals done

27.1.11 - My husband calls his senator's office and asks for help to get things moving.

31.1.11 - Finally got SIF for my sons!

01.2.11 - CC (Phoned DOS as NVC shut due to weather and they told me paperwork was completed at NVC on 1st Feb)

10.2.11 - Interview date assigned

15.3.11 - Interview - APPROVED!!!

24.3.11 - POE - Dallas, TX

After I looked at approved profiles on Igor's list I came up with the conclusion that there are several reasons as to why they got NOA2's sooner reasons listed are:

Illness related

Military

Expidite's for other reasons

and of course some people profiles could be inaccurate which makes Igor's list flawed and should only be used as a predicition and not fact

to my knowledge other countries are not favored over other's with the exception that some countries are more scrutinizing in regards to evidence of relationship and petitioner/beneficiaries backgrounds whether or not their intentions to come to the usa are legal, as well as safety of national security reasons etc.

Richard and Elena another May filer is also having their child immigrate to the u.s. so their in a similar situation as you, I don't think that even makes a difference as far as delays as it mostly comes down to waiting in line till your next in queue, if you filed your children along with your petition they make sure to process them together =).

I understand your frustrations as we are all in the same boat I hope soon we'll all be getting some news of NOA2's coming our way, just try to stay busy and it really does help with depression and anxiety over the waiting. I hope this'll give some comfort to your uneasyness.
