Hi everyone, I-864 question.

If you have the tax transcripts from the IRS do you need to submit your 1040's(with associated w-2's, etc.?) Thanks!

Nope. It's either Tax Transcripts from IRS.

Or 1040/w2/1099s.

May 2010 CR-1/IR-1 Filers Thread

“Love is patient, love is kind, it does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” (Corinthians 13:4-7)

How was the following date derived from?

Approximate Processing Dates

for Common Forms:

uscis_estimates.gif

Those dates don't mean much. They get those from VJ members timelines and the April filers approved were expedited.

"the April filers approved were expedited. "

-- How????

Humanitarian reasons such as natural disasters, and some special situations. Check USCIS website for more information. You would have to prove it though.

Okay all here is my little update.

So Today I called the Customer Service Center and spoke to a lady by the name of Sharon. After I explained my situation to her and advised her that I was a former government employee, she escalated my call to an immigration officer by the name of Gonzales. Now this is the information that I was given to the delay.

1. CSC is on complete overload with I-130 petitions and they have sent out an alert to all customer service agents that anyone calling to wait an additional 20 days before starting a service request for escalation.

2. This is a myth-buster. The applications for Haitian and Chilean nationals is not affecting the process of I-130 applications. This is because USCIS has set up a completely different section to handle only those applications.

3. Immigration Officer confirmed that the online site is a piece of Junk!!!!! And should not be used as a sole purpose of checking.

4. This was interesting to hear. That they often will pull applications for quality assurance and that will slow the process down for that applicant. (LUCK OF THE DRAW FOR THAT UNLUCKY SOUL).

5. Here is another interesting fact. Immigration Officer says that the USCIS timeline does follow CSC actual processing timeline as of today. Also stated that CSC will be on overload until around October 2010.

6. He advised that anyone that has passed the 5 month mark and 20 days should start calling so a service request can be placed.

7. (Local offices) Immigration officer stated that not much can be done from a local office. All they will do is the same thing that he did for me over the phone.

8. New information. When you call the 1-800-375-5283 number. All that person does on the phone is the same thing we do, which is check the online status board . The only difference is that they can attempt to place the service request before sending to an immigration officer for escalation.

Well I am still going to make my appointment on Monday, just to see if what he told me was the gospel truth. But he did tell me that my application was updated as of July 22. Which the online status board does not show.

So I hope this gives all of you some insight to what the heck is going on with the CSC office.

The waiting for sure feels desperate, it's not hearing anything or seeing any progress that makes the waiting worse being powerless to what happens next. I never saw an update on my online portfolio so I can believe that it's not efficient in telling us whats going on, the only thing I can do is continue to stay busy I guess till they start paying attention to may filers. It doesn't sound good that CSC is on overload  I hope everyone else is managing or doing better somehow.
