To my knowledge you can't save the NVC forms to your computer like I did with USCIS after I had filled them in, so what I did is just filled in the info for later when I'm ready to print it up, I'd rather it be typed than handwritten personally, but either is okay. I Hope everyone is doing well, it seems everyone is getting organized well :thumbs:

no updates for me at this point and no touches, but I check once a day out of curiousity heh.

apparently there is some application that will let you save out a PDF when you try to print the file. cute pdf i think? i am not sure, i never bothered with it.

but i also theorize that if you use AI you can open the doc in there and save it. probably. i didn't try that either. haha :lol:

but there are a few ways around it.

Well I just got back from the US today after a week long visit to my hubby :( Am very perturbed to see there is still no record on USCIS website of my I-130 application. even though my husband called them a couple of weeks ago and was told they do have the forms and it takes 30 days to get on the system - its been 31 now!!

Waiting is just SO hard, I always feel down when I leave him because its the start of another wait to see him again. Why isnt my case on the website??

21.5.10 - NOA1

17.11.10 - NOA2 (there was a hold up due to incorrect information put on forms by our lawyer)

NVC

16.12.10 - All fees paid and everything received at NVC

05.1.11 - SIF and CC for my case only. Get RFE for my 2 sons as lawyer made ANOTHER mistake and made errors on I-864's for the children.

10.1.11 - Corrected I-864's received at NVC via Fedex

14.11.11 - Corrected paperwork entered on system according to AVR

17.1.11 - Medicals done

27.1.11 - My husband calls his senator's office and asks for help to get things moving.

31.1.11 - Finally got SIF for my sons!

Your NOA1 was on the same couple days as others who had the same problem as you. A glitch in the system or something. I would call back and explain that others like you are having this problem.

yeah you should already have gotten the NOA1 a few days after you submit the documents!

call again and have them send the document so you also will have your CIS number!

We did get the NOA1 in the post, so know USCIS received it ok (and cashed the cheques!). Its just annoying that other people seem to be able to check their status and touches on the website and we cant. :(

Also, how come my photo is on my profile but I cant seem to put it on so everyone can see it along with my posts?? Maybe I am just being thick lol

To put your photo as avatar go to

1. my settings

2. click profile tab

3. change avatar (it's next to change photo but "change photo is for profile page I think.)

hope this helps

and don't worry about the case status updates if they have you in the system and you got the NOA1 your safe, it might have just been a glitch that your not able to see case updates. I suppose you could keep pestering them, but don't know if they'll help fix it, it's not important in regards to you getting the NOA2, it's just a way to track progress and it's not a very updated way in my opinion anyways.

I guess as long as USCIS have received the petitions and sent them on to California as they say they have I have no need to worry. Just being paranoid, you know how you want something SOOOOO much you think your case is the one thats bound to go wrong!
