I am at #212 on the list

When my wife comes I promised to take her to Disneyland and then go with friends to Las Vegas for a party.

What a coincidence we will go to Disneyland too. He has never been & wants to go with me! Lots of things to do & plans... but 1st let's get there!! LOL

I've been to both Disneyland and Disneyword, Disneyworld did have more from what I remember, but both were a blast in their own way, with Disneyland you can also go visit Hollywood etc. =)

I have visited Vegas before too and stayed at the Luxor I'd like to take Geert someday.

I'm sure she'll have lots of fun visiting both places, definitely something to look forward too. =)

For me personally we aren't going anywhere special because we want to save up for a Carribean wedding cruise since we only had a civil ceremony and want to have family see us renew vow's since they weren't there the first time, but for us it'll be our dream wedding

We only had Civil Union in my hometown so we definetly want to be married infront of God. Most likely next year it will happen! So exciting, I want to wear white & be like a princess & take a million of pics.

I live in a semi small town "Magnolia" near Houston, TX and about a 2 hour drive to Galveston, TX. Carnival Cruise Lines has a port at Galveston and they have great wedding package deals that aren't too expensive in my opinion so we will try to save for that, we'd like to have the wedding on the boat before it departs so everyone can attend and not have to be pressured to pay for a cruise, me and Geert will then take a 7 day cruise because we didn't really have a honeymoon so it'd be something we really want to do together. I got this all planned out hehe so after immigration we'll save up on it for sure~

Speaking of fun things to do as far as theme parks go if you ever come to visit Houston,TX a few good places would be to visit

I took Geert here when he visited the U.S for the first time, he enjoyed it a lot, me too =).

I would love to take Geert here, but he's never visited during oct.-nov. and they only are open once a year during these two months on the weekends, but it's really fun~!

Anyways I just thought I'd share a piece of my world enjoy~ =)

You & Gert got married in the States, right? In US is so easy to get married.

Do you know how hard it was for us to get married? )) We had to time things like crazy & prepare lots of things & had some problems along the way.

Check this out:

March 1st - FLT from JFK to BUCHAREST;

March 2 - Arrive. 1 night at Hotel Christina (train booking);

March 3 - Morning go to US Embassy for proof of celibate. In evening go to train station at 6.10 pm

March 4 - Arrive in Oradea 6.37 am.

March 5 - Go very early in the morning to translate birth certificate with apostelle into ROM and legalize it. Go to medical exam to get prenuptial certificate

March 8, 9 & 10 - Receive medical certificate (9 & 10), birth certificate translated & legalised;

March 11 - Go sign declaration of marriage at town hall:

Legal documents :

* birth certificates (the foreign citizen’s birth certificate must be apostiled in his country, translated and legalized in Romania)

* identity cards (the foreign citizen passport)

* the proof (liberated by the Embassy or consulate of the foreign citizen’s country from Romania or the proof of celibate liberated by the competent city hall (only for the countries that Romania has treaties signed with)

* prenuptial medical certificate, liberated by the family doctor of the Romanian citizen

* file type marriage (marriage declaration)

* stamp fee

* copies of the identity cards of two witnesses who will be present at the marriage

The legal time when the marriage is executed, 10 days from signing declaration = Official ceremony.

March 12 - 18 - POST MARRIAGE HONEYMOON;

March 19 - 20 - Preparation for Wedding;

March 21 - THE BIG DAY

March 22 - 29 – AFTER WEDDING HONEYMOON;

**Issue the marriage certificate – get 2x. duplicate.

March 31 - FLT from BUD back to NYC. Bus ride from BUD back to ORADEA.

The Honeymoons stated above were just the type of "pretend to be honeymoon". )

We didnt have real Honeymoon yet, but this August we go to Croatia & after religious wedding we will go again some place.

Easy or Hard we are all in the same boat now at the end of this journey is where we all want to be, with our loved ones thats all that matters, instead of dwelling on how hard it was to get married, think about how happy you must have been getting married to your guy/gal thats the part we should focus on =). Everyone chooses their own path in life and this is what we chose, it might be a rocky path, but we do it because we think it's worth it~

I told my hubby Id take him to In N Out lol......he loves the burgers ! Awww he's so cute. I'm starting to prepare to see him in 2weeks getting a bit nervous, hope all goes well at the airport. I have bunch of proof im bringing with me that i'll return.

I'll let you guys know If I make it to the other side! And exactly how it went down

Yes it was easy to get married in u.s. it was very last min. for us we got engaged july 7 and married on july 28 and he had to fly back on july 31 at the time we didn't even know anything about immigration, and was considering me immigrating to Holland (saw how difficult it was vs. USA) so in the end we decided to have him immigrate to here which is why we have such a time gap from marriage to filing I-130 (procrastination/research and the time we spent visiting each other not working on it).

I didn't know if you were venting or not sorry was trying to put a positive spin on it for you and I assumed you were venting, I shouldn't have assumed. I'm sure you and your hubby are stronger having gone through that situation which is a good thing. =)

Never heard of that burger joint before was going to ask you what it was but I looked it up lol, I enjoy going to chili's or TGI Fridays for their burgers =), my fave burger is mushroom swiss <3.

As long as you have proof and the officer isn't a meanie then it should be okay, when Geert came here the first time we almost thought they'd sent him back we were so unprepared and didn't know about the ties and stuff he had mentioned that he was coming to see me "his girlfriend" at the time so yea it was crazy, but they finally agreed to let him through. The second time we were more prepared and he had a folder full of documents showing ties and the officer who delt with him was more easy going this time. I hope that all goes well with you and that you'll make it to your hubby safely =).
