good day everybody

just new here..and see its big help for me..can somebody gave me advise..married to my husband and he file my petition..but all letter from NVC was in my single name...even where married..i plan to change my passport before but every letter from nvc indicating my single last name make me stop to change it to married name..ist ok?? if i just continue to use my single name?? should it be ok if i just use our marrige contract as supporting document..and what about police clearance should i get it in my single name or to my married name???ist ok to use two name how will i answer the ds230 form no.1 no.3???hope some body can gave me advice too all vj expert thank you

You can keep your maiden name (your last name when you were single), no problem. But do make sure you have the marriage certificate as per NVC's requirements that lists your name exactly as it is in your passport and other documents.

01-21-2010 - I-130 Petition Sent

03-24-2010 - I-130 Approved

NVC Journey:

03-29-2010 - NVC Case Number assigned

04-20-2010 - AOS Package Received at NVC

05-05-2010 - IV Package Received at NVC

05-19-2010 - NVC Case Completed - Sign In Fail

05-25-2010 - Interview Date Assigned.

Consulate:

07-19-2010 - Interview at New Delhi - Approved!

07-20-2010 - Visa Package collected from VFS

07-26-2010 - POE at Washington DC

08-19-2010 - Welcome Letter Received - Tracking Number reveals that GC was ordered on August 16

08-23-2010 - Applied for SSN at SSA

08-30-2010 - GC, SSA Card Arrive in Mailbox

thank you so much!!! just send my ds230 last may8 and according to fedex they delivered it at NVC today may 11 2010..!!! just wonder how many more days the nvc going to cheak my document?/and whats next?? good luck to all vj member and those who filling there visa and want to be with there love ones and relative!! hope everything will be alright to us...goodluck
