My mom told me that his signature on any legal document needs to be legible, i.e. they can make out all the letters of his first and last name. But yet he never signs his name like that. He says it's his first initial and his full last name but honestly... *looks at the scribble*... I don't see it.

He's been "practicing" a new signature because of this, lol. I don't like the idea of him changing something as personal as his signature, though. So I'll tell him that, as long as the scribble you write looks like some sort of Roman letters and looks the same on every form you sign, just send it to me. ;) Maybe he can just slow down a liiiiiiiiiiiittle bit so the last name looks like what it's supposed to say.

I don't know the answer to the 'bits o names' quandry but you WILL be RFE'd for not having all FOUR DIFFERENT pages of the G-325A.

This thread is a good lesson to all for READING THE GUIDES. Click on the blue tab link above, go to 'Getting a K1 Visa' and the instructions clearly state to send all 4 pages.

I'm not lecturing but.....even after this K1 you still have LOADS of paperwork to file with AOS.

(Hate double posting but I can't seem to edit my last post)

Does this include middle names as well, or just first name and last? Cause if I have to include middle as well, I'll have to redo all of mine as well... not as big of a deal, but I wanted to be sure... I always use my middle initial in my signature, same one on my passport and ID.

nessa signed with her legal signature, which is not her full name - i included a copy of her passport to show that is her legal signature and we got our noa2 about a week ago.

I also signed my legal signature and didn't even send them a copy of ID to they could check. We also got approved with no problems. But hey, better to be safe than sorry, right?

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Just a note of advice.

When you sign your signature ensure you sign with your full name.

Do not use any abbreviation or else you can get an RFE for your signature.

Good luck

How do you know that if you don't sign with your full name, you will get an RFE? I know people whose signature is not their full names and they never got an RFE for their signatures.

Heck, my signature is so sloppy no one could tell if I signed my full name or not! I did just use my middle initial though. I doubt if it will be a problem.

After reading all replies about this post. I see some are worried because their signature is not their full names. You are worrying about something that you don't need to worry about. Your signature is your signature, so you don't have to use your full names when you sign. So you won't get any RFE.

G-325A has total 4 pages, they are identical except on the bottm left hand corner, each page is for one specific place, like consular. So all 4 pages have to be signed and dated, they have ot to be original. Signatures' photocopies are not accepted.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

A signature is a signature regardless of how it is signed. What some people have received RFE's for is a signature that is not an original even if it has been. This can happen if one signs in black and it has been advocated to avoid the chance of this happening, to sign in blue ink.

There has been RFE's for not submitting all 4 pages of the G-325A. There has also been members that have only submitted one page of the G-325A and not received an RFE. It is totally up to the adjudicator.

Not letting myself off the hook for only sending one page each... but... The G-325A also requires a passport photo, and they only ask for one passport photo... Just hoping I get the right adjudicator, as I am fairly certain the other three copies get shredded and are not used... If they did get used, we would be asked for 4 passport photos each... Right???

Crossing my fingers, but also having myself and my fiance redo the form in quadurplicate... Just in case I get a caseworker who likes to shred the three unneeded 3 copies!

Actually the passport photos are submitted with the I-129F petition, not the G-325A. I also believe that the 4 pages that make up the G-325A are still very much in use as the USCIS processes are still primarily manual, paper based.

Don't get me wrong... I still screwed up... but... the passport photo is for the G-325A, so since one passport photo is asked for, one copy of the G-325A should be needed...

I will wait for the hammer to fall in the form of an RFE, or the luck of drawing a good adjudicator.

Directly from the guide here on this site:

G-325A (all four pages) filled out by the foreign fiance(e) signed and dated (see example)

10. One passport-type photo (see note) of the foreign fiance(e). Write the full name of the foreign fiance(e) on the back. Place in a plastic bag and label the bag "Photo of (insert foreign fiance(e) name) ". Attach the bag to a sheet of paper and place behind the corresponding G-325a.

Aw well... if I had it to do all over again, I would certainly send in all 4 pages and they could give thier shredder a work out!

Read the I-129F instructions as to what is submitted with it, not the VJ guide. The section you quoted as to where it is put is a guide on assembly. On the USCIS website it is listed in a different order.

I wouldnt worry about the G-325A. If you get an RFE it is an easy fix. If not then you are lucky.
