I have an RFE on the way, for my lack of understanding the G-325A requirements.

Based upon bad advice, I sent one page for each of us, with original signatures. Was told that the other 3 are tossed in the trash. Probably true, but you must send them anyway.

Why all four pages?

I should know better, having worked for the US Government.

Simple explanation: because they want it that way. Three go in the trash, one remains. But you need to send four anyway.

Nutcases!!!

RFE baby, what a F'up. CSC sucks!!!!!

I hear ya', my friend. But hang in there. We're all in this together. Based on what I just read, I'm now expecting to see an RFE, too...I should have known that Laurent's desire to be creative with his signature would catch up with us on this little bureaucratic journey...ARGH! :(

I really hope we're wrong about this, too, my fingers are crossed for you! My mother (who had to go through a visa process with her ex husband) has said that I was stupid to think a first initial was enough (Nevermind that she doesn't typically sign her full name either!!) but to me it seems almost suspicious to sign differently than we do on our passports, IDs, cheques, and everything else, so I'm really not sure what to think!

Ooh, and just saw cristy's reply, and I'm hopeful that works out for us as well!!

Well I would say you are likely to be ok with his signature. And I agree, you should sign the forms as you would sign any other document. To sign it differently should create a problem... Good luck to you! My guess is your forms will pass muster and be ok!

The forms, all 4, are virtually the same!!!! And the information asked for is the same... If they need 4, why not ask for 1 and copy 3????

Still, I am kicking myself... Hopefully they accept the I-129F and tell us to immediately send in all 4 pages of the G-325A... Hope so anyway...

Now I have to call J and get her to print up the form(s) again and mail it ASAP... Sorry dear!

Because USCIS sucks. That is the bottom line.

Thank God we only need to do this process once. Anything more would equal insanity.

I will post the USCIS nastygram I will send, after AOS is received.

If it makes someone there feel bad, good. If it changes policy and processing, better yet.

For whatever it is worth, I just went through the pinned RFE thread, and no one reported an RFE for only filing a single copy of the G-325A... So... Perhaps this will turn out to be much ado about nothing??

Still, going to have J print up and do the form in quadruplet like good little drones...

Having reviewed the entire package again, and PM conversation with my buds, concluded that the G-325A is the problem.

Double IMBRA RFE's were sent within days. Mine was sent over 30 days ago.

At this point, I am not sure what they want, but I will post it when it arrives next week.

I will fix it quick, whatever it is.

How do you feel about CSC?

Any love there?

Well assuming this little boo boo causes a delay, I am more pissed at myself than CSC, but the fact that they want you to write out the same information on four virtually identical sheets of paper so every office can have a signed original is pretty amazingly stupid!

How is it that it takes 5 weeks for you to get an RFE? They ask for your email address! Why not send you an email and let you know immediately what needs correction. Or am I just being too logical and thinking outside the box?

Yes, you are applying logical interpretation, to a process that now follows RFE return dates.

May and June approvals in front of Embassy recalls and March filers? Criminal.

But, who controls action of Government agencies? Nobody.

They have full control of our destiny. Sucks, but reality.

Belive me, I am angry, what can I do?

USCIS Sucks!!!

I am looking at your timeline and starting to wonder if I should not seek a valuum prescription... Assuming only turning in one copy of the G-325A is the issue on your case... 5 MONTHS FOR THEM TO FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM AND NOTIFY YOU TO CORRECT IT??????

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

I feel very badly for you and your fiance. Someone at USCIS should get a pink slip. What a true travesty.

I won't mind waiting our turn to begin our lives, but from what I have seen on here, it is a crapshoot. Some file and approval is swift... Then those like you who should be together by now are waiting to perhaps fix a minor issue which if so critical to USCIS should have been noticed by the person who accepted your filing in the first place!

Just a note of advice.

When you sign your signature ensure you sign with your full name.

Do not use any abbreviation or else you can get an RFE for your signature.

Good luck

This is one that has been bothering me, after almost 3 years of waiting we are just about ready to file for a K1 and I don't know what to do about the signature. I have never signed my name other than just my initials and my last name, if I was to write anything else it wouldn't be my signature, just my name written in longhand.

Your signature is your signature. Period.

Think of the illiterate that sign with an "X".

This is not an issue at all.

Forget about it!!!

A signature, by definition is a personal thing. So I agree with you, huge question for you as to what to do. Your official signature is what you use to sign everything from checks to any other official paperwork... In my work there are tons of forms to sign, and everyone has their own unique styles. Some are just chicken scratches, but they always match, and I can easily tell they are authentic. I would think if you signed your full name instead of how you signed on the check they cashed, that would be something for them to notice... Wish I knew the answer for you!

I hope not.

IMBRA may bite you in the #######, but if you used the new I-129F, with IMBRA questions you will most likely not get an RFE. But, no one really knows.

My problem right now is, why your "userid" does not show up in the bar below, that advises who is on board.

What's up with that?

I keep bouncing in and out of threads, probably why I am not showing up when you come back in here...

At least I used a post UMBR I129F!! It had the questions at the end... None applied to me though, fortunately! We did not use a marriage broker, and my record is clean as a whistle... Although my x wife has certainly tried to change that!
