If you are in Michigan--even the Detroit area--you should go to Becker's Bridal in Fowler. They have the best dress deals in Michigan. I got my dress there for less than $200 and my cousin bought hers for $100. I think their dress quality is better than David's bridal too. Here is their website: http://www.beckersbridal.com/

Sigh. Those wedding dresses are gorgeous. This is the dress I bought from David's Bridal (in a very pale shell pink for a beach wedding). Trouble is, I've gained some weight since I bought it and now I've either got to lose it real quick or buy a new one!

Lol thats probably because *I* bought a Casablanca dress too ... their photography is very similar, plus box pleats are their signature kinda thing

I went to Alfred Angelo, had already picked the dress of my dreams, had time to spare so popped into David's Bridal and started trying on similar dresses.

The assistant suggested I try another style on to see how my more than ample boobage(!) looked in it and I absolutely fell in love with it.

Ended up going back to Alfred Angelo, cancelling my dress and got the one at David's $100 cheaper.. and it was in stock, which is a great benefit if you don't have much time.

I found David's Bridal much more helpful than Alfred Angelo's staff too.

There are actual Alfred Angelo stores? I always thought that local boutiques carried the Alfred Angelo dresses, but otherwise were independant merchants. At least that's how it is in Tennessee - maybe other states are different.

As a Man from USA and has a Fiance from Russia, let me say this: Maria and I went looking for wedding dresses while I was there in Ekaterinburg as she told me that the cost was significantly less than buying in USA. Yes this might not affect you but some readers might want to know! We had seen wedding dresses that were hand stiched from countries from France to Poland and old Chech, Republic areas. Not sure of the originations but these dresses were absolutely beautiful!!!! The hand stiching of the trim of little roses and pedals were unbelievable!! Yes the French dress was nice and very expensive$$$$ but you would be amazed at the beauty and guality of a hand made dress from Poland or other less fortunate areas of Eastern Europe.

I let my Fiance choose what dress she wanted and she chose the hand stiched Polland dress over the commercial French and Italian made. I do not know how a Woman could attain one of these beautiful hand stiched dresses is not in Russia, but I will say that the quality is second to none!!! Good Bye Sweat Shops!!!

www.ebay.com , seriously! I got a heck of a deal on mine. Just make sure you know exactly which one you want, you can go try it on at some wedding shop around you, and then save lots of $$. I saved about 90%!
