I have a slight emergency.

I had only one certified copy of my birth certificate, which I sent to USCIS along with the other papers. I had my mom send me two more certified copies from the government on Mexico via Express Mail. The package was supposed to arrive 3 days ago and it basically just dropped off the face of the earth (it's been In Transit from Salt Lake since Wednesday). How IMPORTANT is it I have copies of my birth certificate, if the last one I had I sent to them?

Don't stress! Just explain it to them when they ask for the originals - "I don't have the original, we sent it to you." You can explain that you had the others shipped to you, but they didn't get there. If they have the original, it would be insane for them to deny you b/c you too didn't have an original. I mean, they've done stupid stuff before, but don't stress about it (stressing isn't going to do any good since there's not much you can do now) - I'm sure other people have sent in in their originals as well. Do you have a copy of what you sent in?

Congrats everyone....hopefully I'm next. I called today and they put in another service request for expedite....even thought they told me before i couldn't....Lets see what happens. I figured one way or the other something will happen. I praying hard on this one.

I agree with all of you! I wouldn't mind paying some more taxes so that we could have better healthcare and schools and decent parent leave! I don't understand why people here treat taxes like they're some sort of money-stealing scheme or something.

My interview is tomorrow at 10. I'll let you all know how that went! I'm dying of nerves over here :wacko:

Hey, we are all freaked out. We all assume we are going to be denied. Always the worst case scenario, right? You are going to be fine. You have no red flags. Even if you did, you have a real relationship. We are all going to be back here in 21 months to remove conditions. It's all good.

Would need for a drivers license be a good enough reason for an EAD expedite? I do not have a financial hardship reason that would qualify, I just need to drive!
