Thanks guys! :thumbs: I Think I am going to try and speak to my employer otherwise I guess there may be no point in trying to expedite the ead at this time then since my interview is coming up.

Welcome Mrs Foster! :) First, to add your timeline in your signature you go to your profile settings -> profile -> change signature. Second, a couple of the people here in our group has requested to expedite their EAD's. I'm not sure how you do that, but Felipe or Leigh Ann can probably explain that. Might help so you don't have to stop working.

Yep - welcome to the forum!

To expedite your EAD, you can either call USCIS and explain it to them or you can contact your congressperson. I think we got it approved slightly faster than Felipe did (once our RFE was sent back and the case was resumed), but there's pretty much no way you'll get it by 7/12. Ours was approved on 7/2, and we're still waiting for it to get here....always waiting! Anyway, there's a greater chance of your being able to get it approved if you have a job waiting for you so that's a plus factor for you. Generally, they want to see financial hardship (I think), but there may be other grounds, though I'm not sure what they might be.

So I call my congress office again a few days ago and they said i have to wait on the person in charge of immigration issues get back to me. Its been couple weeks since I've first contacted them and I've had several people contacted them but got no response. So I guess i'm back to waiting....

Good morning everyone!

Great news.... Finally!!! I received the interview letter yesterday... that's right, a Thursday. The letter is dated July 2. The interview is schedule for August 10 at 1:00 pm.

During the entire process or since May 5th, my case was only touch once. Form I485 was touched on May 19th, the day after I got the early biometrics done. Forms I765 and I130 were touched on May 27th, the date before my original biometrics appointment. Since then, none of my forms were touched and the case was always under "initial review" status. As of today, my case still remains in initial review status.

I notice that so far 2 more people received the letter for the same date (August 10). Felipe and I have the same date for the interview and the same hour, even though we are in different cities.

One thing to keep in mind is that I got my biometric letter back on May 12th. I believe I was the first one to receive the bio but it took me almost 60 days to receive my interview letter. So, there is still some hope for the ones that are not even close to the 60 day mark and haven't receive anything yet. I didn't have any RFEs and my case was only touched once, so stay positive... you will all get it sooner or later!!!

Now it's waiting time, 30 days until interview. I guess that should be enough time to prepare!

Good luck to everyone that is still waiting for interview letter. Remember, stay positive and be patient. I waited almost 60 days for the interview letter!!!!

I think the holiday is screwing things up - our EAD was sent last Friday, and the last time they sent something on a Friday, it got here on a Thursday, but it's not here. So...I'm chalking it up to the 4th, and hoping it'll be here tomorrow. And yours too! Nothing we can do but be patient now, I guess.

That's comforting to know that it wasn't intimidating. So glad everything worked out!

I'm tired of waiting :huh: Haven't checked the mail today though... I think RoseTX in April of March filers has her interview in Irving, TX on Aug 9, so mine will be after that sometime probably. The 9th would have been perfect, bc my bday is on the 8th and that way hubby won't forget the date when they ask :lol:
