cbrniner - I hope you get some progress on your stepson's petition soon! I can't imagine being away from a child that long. But the countdown is on until this process is over so I'm sure it'll happen soon.

No her sons petition was separate cause she is here and he is in Manila ...had they both been here then we could have filed on same petition .... its the spur of the moment wedding thing , had we actually planned it he would have been here ....But you do crazy things when your in love ...LOL

Oh, I understand. Yes, we do crazy things for love I hope you will get approved right away and that her son's petition will go through quick and smoothly. As someone else already said, I couldn't imagine how it feels to be seperated from your child for so long. Holding my thumbs for you!

I got touched last Thursday and still nothing in the mail I'm hoping it is due to the holiday, and it will be here tomorrow. My bio letter took a long time too and the date on it was like 6-7 days earlier than the postmarked date. Hope they are not just letting this letter sit in a drawer as well

Thanx for the love guys... still on vacay... She was a lil too curious. It was kinda like a friendly conversation with a nosey person, rather than, what date this and when ya'll that and why this or why not that what we expected it was to be (thought it'd be intimidating). The questions pretty much stemmed from the previous one kinda like a convo... :What movie you guys saw last? Was it action/drama/comedy? Oh it was made from a video game? Sounds interesting"- like that lol

I think the holiday is screwing things up - our EAD was sent last Friday, and the last time they sent something on a Friday, it got here on a Thursday, but it's not here. So...I'm chalking it up to the 4th, and hoping it'll be here tomorrow. And yours too! Nothing we can do but be patient now, I guess.

Thus far, I am basically just waiting for the interview which is on July 26th and also waiting on my EAD. Its frustrating because my current ead is only good till July 12th and I am guessing if I dont receive the new ead by then I have to stop working right? That will suck..but I dont know crossing fingers for now. I know they say it takes 30 to 90 days to receive ead but what is the timing from experience for those who may have already received theirs? Here is a brief timeline (I havent figured out how to add a timeline to my profile lol)

01/2006 Met hubby

08/29/2008 Got married

05/06/2010 sent all paperwork

06/08/2010 Completed biometrics

Welcome Mrs Foster! First, to add your timeline in your signature you go to your profile settings -> profile -> change signature. Second, a couple of the people here in our group has requested to expedite their EAD's. I'm not sure how you do that, but Felipe or Leigh Ann can probably explain that. Might help so you don't have to stop working.

Hope you get your EAD approved soon and don't have to stop working. Maybe you can work something out with your employer since your interview is not too long from now?

Hi Mrs Foster and welcome,

i don't know if you sent the form i-765 with your AOS application but if you did you could have expedite your replacement for EAD right after your biometrics appt. (i did two weeks after my appt.)but it takes about a week to the EAD to be approved plus 10 days to get the card on the mail wich in your case will not help much since your EAD is about to expire. what you can do is make an infopass and see what can be make in unique situation.

also if you still work after your EAD is expire and your employer don't say anything you will be fine since illegal employment is forgiven since you are married to a U.S. citizen.
