Also, the letter listed the USC's birth certificate as one of the items to bring to the interview, but I don't have one. Do you think this will be a problem? I submitted my naturalization paper with the application.

For those who have interviews scheduled, how are you preparing?

Also, the letter listed the USC's birth certificate as one of the items to bring to the interview, but I don't have one. Do you think this will be a problem? I submitted my naturalization paper with the application.

I spent 2 hours on Saturday putting my package together, and deciding on how to categorize everything. Now I just need to get back some of my original documents from the lawyer, and get a couple of pieces of evidence for 'bonafide' that I thought of, and the actual expanding multi-part file folder, and I am set!

Oh, and I asked hubby random questions over the weekend about my family, who he has never met!

You are fine. You can't have a US birth certificate if you were naturalized. If you have a US passport, you might wanna bring that also just in case.

OK, Let's share how to prepare!

I have created 4 separate folders: first one for the originally submitted forms, 2nd one for originals of all documentation + evidence already submitted and some extra (joint loans, joint health insurance, etc..), 3rd one for identical copies of everything in the 2nd folder, and 4th one for pictures (printed 4 to a page using powerpoint's photo album feature). Everything is in protective plastic sleeves.

And I have been copy-pasting interview experiences I've found here into one word doc for hubby and I to go over later.

I have mine split into 4 categories:

Immigration correspondence (interview letter, all I-797s I have received, biometrics letter, emails from NVC)

ID (birth certificates, marriage certificate, divorce decrees, police record and court record)

Financial (I-864, W-2, 1099, letter of employment, pay stubs, etc.)

Proof (BIG section, will likely put photos into a photo album yet to be purchased)
