We sent it all together. It says that they mailed me "the document" (???) on June 30, so I was somewhat fortunate on catching it today. The last touch is today. What does this mean?

It is possible for the i-130 to be approved first. Technically that is the 'ticket' to being able to adjust status.

Everybody needs someone to petition for them.

Of course for AOS I always thought that the whole case gets approved together at the same time.

But I guess your 130 is ahead of schedule!

Hmm...that is weird. I agree with engineer21, you probably will have to do the interview anyway since the I-485 is not approved yet. Either way, just wait and see what the letter says, you should receive it in a few days.

I got touched today again, on my I-485. No new message (still says they received my RFE 6/28 and case has resumed), blue dot is till on RFE...wonder what is going on. No touch on any of the other forms since before I got the RFE.

I concur with the rest. I hear infopass is the way to go, when you call the 1-800# they can't really tell you anything. 40 days is way too long! Where is your local office? NYC, Atlanta & Dallas are some of the slower offices.
