It just means that they are the ones who will be reviewing your case.

Most of us doing AOS have been transferred to NBC.

It is also known as the Missouri Service Center (in Lee's Summit, MO)

If they cash your check that means that they accepted your application.

But it doesn't necessarily mean everything is OK.

Sometimes the AOS just progresses happily to approval, sometimes they send an RFE.

I got an RFE a few weeks after they cashed my checks.

It was nothing major, just stuff I thought I had sent them but I guess I didn't or they lost it.

So cashed check doesn't mean there is nothing missing in your stuff.

But if something is missing they will let you know and most of the time it is no big deal

Cashing checks only means that they have accepted your application. They can still send RFEs (request for evidence). How long it will take depends if you get a RFE (or several) and how fast you can send a response to the RFE. It also depends on your local office and as it seems, the officers mood :wacko: But I believe 7 May filers already got their interview letters (ValerieA correct me if I'm wrong).

Questions are very welcome, so keep them coming. We are all happy to help (and it keeps us busy so we don't harass the mailman too much) :)

I've got a very weird and confusing situation here!

So, as I've said before, we moved, and we had our lawyer change our address. We got the notices that the change was successful and blah blah, and I noticed that in the Case Type section it said I-130. For some reason, I was not aware we'd filed a I-130, though I suppose it's a NO DUH because that's my husband's petition for me. Anyway, I entered the receipt number in my portfolio, and the status is document production/oath ceremony! #######? Is this normal? My 485 and 765 haven't changed at all, and our interview is still set for July 23. Anyone have an explanation for this? I don't want to get too excited! :lol:

Did your husband file the i-130 petition separately or something?

Mine was all sent together and the 130 is still at initial review.

Maybe they've "approved" the 130.

But even if that's the case you still have to go to the interview I think..

We sent it all together. It says that they mailed me "the document" (???) on June 30, so I was somewhat fortunate on catching it today. The last touch is today. What does this mean?
