No worries. On the USPS tracking website it says:

We attempted to deliver your item at 5:45 PM on June 24, 2010 in XXXX(my neighbor town), TX (zip code) and a notice was left. You may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice, go to www.usps.com/redelivery, or call 800-ASK-USPS to arrange for redelivery. If this item is unclaimed after five days then it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

I sent it USPS Expressmail, waived the signature. I know I never wrote this town name anywhere on there. But I guess that is where the bigger post office is and it goes there first...? I will check the website tomorrow and if it is not changed to Lee's Summit I will call them. Do you think maybe yours went straight from your post office to Lee's Summit without any stops and they scan it at the first stop?

My status was updated a couple of times before getting to lee's summit.

Here is the 'journey' it took:

Acceptance, June 08, 2010, 11:05 am, LOWELL, MA

Processed through Sort Facility, June 08, 2010, 5:49 pm, NORTH READING, MA

Processed through Sort Facility, June 09, 2010, 6:33 am, KANSAS CITY, MO

Arrival at Unit, June 09, 2010, 9:41 am, LEES SUMMIT, MO

Notice Left, June 09, 2010, 10:35 am, LEES SUMMIT, MO

Delivered, June 09, 2010, 4:00 pm, LEES SUMMIT, MO

But the only time any notice was left was once it got to lee's summit.

I don't know why they would ever attempt to deliver in you neighboring town.

But the way the post office guy explained it, it could possibly be a mis-scan.

after all they never deliverd mine either, just got scanned that way.

Yeah I just got Acceptance in my own town where I left it this morning and then Notice Left this afternoon in my neighboring town. Will see if something happens tomorrow morning that looks as it is on its way to Lee's Summit. Hopefully that is just how they scanned it and it doesn't mean anything.

Yeah, I can't take any more delays right now.

Mine said guaranteed delivery on 6/26 which is Saturday, they said it might get there tomorrow but they can't guarantee it. Since they probably don't even check their mail on a Sat. when they are closed, it will at least get there on Monday. That is assuming the scanning was just a mistake.

Did you make copies of everything?

Of course I didn't. Well I think I have copies of everything except for the 2009 letter of verification. But with express mail I believe the packet is even insured so they should be careful with them you'd think....
