The starter turns over?

Nope. Nada. Except every now and then when I've tried multiple times, it makes clicking noise

Which makes me think dead battery.. but battery seems to carry enough voltage.

maybe bad alternator but until I can try to jump it I won't know

Thanks everyone for your support today on this very important day of my life Can you imagine how much I will freak out before the interview if this is how I get when I'm sending an RFE? It is probably good that several of you will have your interviews before me because I will have a lot of questions

So I sent it off, now I will take a deep breath and wait for my case to resume together with Leigh Ann (and tuts)

Haha, it's just so nerve-wracking, especially because I just read this post about how you have one chance and one chance only to get a RFE right. My attorney told me that they wouldn't just deny it though, at least on the facts of our case.

Here's to waiting...and hearing about other people's interview experience!

You'd think if it were the alternator, the battery would be dead too, though, wouldn't it? If the starter is clicking, then it is likely OK. Are you out of gas?

Yeah, it is probably different with H1B visa too. I feel excited now, at last I can start waiting again

Actually this just in from my smarter-than-me husband. He says anything less than 12.5 V is no good.

so yeah.. battery seems to be discharged after all.

Of course alternator could still bad too.. which is, a delightful bonus .

Bad news for me, I submitted my papers on May 27, got biometrics completed now my case is in "suspension" status! I moved and never changed my address with the bank so all the checks I deposited were sent back to my old address since I forgot to sign the back of them . I got an "insufficient funds" notice on Friday and paid it the same day I got it to the Burlington Finance Office. Yesterday I got a "suspension" status case update...

USCIS customer service says it takes them about a week to get all info from Burlington so fingers crossed!

Guys quick question: When you receive an RFE, do you need to send that original yellow paper with the supporting documents or can you just send in a copy of RFE letter and the supporting documents.

Well, that is a question we've been asking ourselves the last couple of days on here actually. My attorney said that it had to be the original but Leigh Ann's attorney said she could send in the copy. So we will find out in a couple of days I guess. Personally I think the copy is fine, as long as the can scan the bar code.

I thought you would get that message when the packet reached Lee's Summit, but I got it now when it left my post office and it is weird because it say they attempted to deliver it to the city "next door" which is NOT where I want it to go....obviously

What did your notice of delivery attempt say exactly? next town over? It wasn't delivered to lee's summit?

Here is the Lee's Summit post office # 816 525 3589. The very nice guy I talked to was Ray, who explained everything.

My package status I found online by tracking through USPS.com because I sent via express mail. It said:

"On June 09, 2010, 10:35 am a delivery attempt was made to (wrong zip code) and a notice was left.

If the item is not claimed within 5 days, it will be returned to sender."

The wrong zip code was still lee's summit zip code, but not the one for USCIS.

Ray said that USCIS makes the post office scan items this way but no delivery attempt is ever made. They're not allowed to deliver due to security reasons. USCIS agent comes and picks everything up at the post office.

And then later on the status said "Your item was delivered at 4:00 PM on June 9, 2010 in LEES SUMMIT, MO 64002 to HOMELAND SECURITY . The item was signed for by N HARGER."
