Well it is back to the drawing board when it comes to job hunting.

A company I interviewed for got back to me today saying they decided to hire someone who had interned there last summer.

But they said to "keep in touch" :lol:

Guess there are too many engineers out there and not enough jobs :crying:

HAH, and I was told at one point that being a woman, minority, and an engineer is a good thing

Oh well.. not that I could have accepted the position anyway since I have no idea when I can start..:bonk:

Yikes. Has your I-130 been touched since you sent in the AOS package? You still seem to be moving, whereas I am at a standstill. Maybe they have yours already. I hope so! good.gif

My I-130 has not been touched since it was approved in March. :whistle: not sure if they need to touch it for my case to go forward :devil:

It looks like most of us who got "touched" were the ones who received some type of RFE, so "no touches" might actually mean something good ;):star:

:( better luck next time it really sucks to not know when you can start working i had almost the same problem..i did my job interview today and it went above well i could be hire on the spot to work on a big airline here in JFK but... no EAD get sooo no deal :( anyway the manager put my application on hold and gave me her card and as soon as i get my EAD i have to call her and hope still there is some opening :D

came on expedite work please :blink:

Oh! It seems like if you submit with your expedite that you have a job waiting, then you have a much better chance of getting it approved.

...not that we're in that situation either.

Sorry you didn't get the engineering job! Interviews are so frustrating when you don't get them and the job seems perfect.

Is it normal for the I-485 to still be in the "Acceptance" status? All others are in "Initial Review." I-485 was last touched 6/10.

As someone else said recently, I think the internet system is notoriously inconsistent so I wouldn't pay too much attention to it.

All of our forms were touched today (6/16). Weird timing, considering we haven't sent anything back. Maybe our biometrics...

BTW, Hoppla, did you get your transcripts/verification of non-filing? We got the verification from IRS this morning...

Don't even bother look at that system my aplication last touch on my i130 was on 05/13!!! I got my biometrics and everything and nothing !! I have seen on others months aplicants get only on touch in the hole process .think positive :)

How do you check to see when your application is "TOUCHED"?

In your profile/account on USCIS.gov, next to all the case numbers, there is a "last updated" column.

When the date changes to a more recent date, you got touched :)

I have been assuming that these dates change when they scan the barcode that has your case number... why?

No one really knows, there appears to be no rhyme or reason sometimes :wacko:

BTW, Hoppla, did you get your transcripts/verification of non-filing? We got the verification from IRS this morning...

We have the official transcripts and he will go to IRS today to get the verification of non-filing. I haven't written the statement though. Will call IRS again today and double check that we can send it in instead of our lawyer, because if they are going to do it there will probably be another delay before they send it out.
