I talked to a woman in my congressman's office, and she said that they had to have your biometrics, but seemed to think that anytime after that, they could ask. We sent in our stuff to her today so crossing my fingers that it will get approved!

Still no RFE....

Okay, I know this is a long shot but does anyone know how long it takes for them to get you biometrics results. Better yet whats the faster you've seen anything approve after bio. I called about an expedite the day before my bio, maybe I should have waited until after.

Okay, I know this is a long shot but does anyone know how long it takes for them to get you biometrics results. Better yet whats the faster you've seen anything approve after bio. I called about an expedite the day before my bio, maybe I should have waited until after.

I just meant that you have to have gone before you can get anything done. I don't know re: timeline.

My biometrics is coming up on monday, at the ASC in Lawrence, MA. I didn't try to do a walk-in because I've heard that they get very angry about that. I'm bringing all of my NOAs, my driver's license, my passport, and marriage cert just cause I haven't officially changed my name but USCIS already know me as my married name. Anything else you guys think I need?

Hubby thinks I should bring EVERYTHING :huh:

Also, I never knew my Alien# but I think USCIS has given me one with the Biometrics NOA. Is that the USCIS A# on top (Axxxxxxxxx)?

Just wanted to ask ahead of time because it sounds like they are not going to be very nice or helpful over there in Lawrence.

Btw, can I still go to my biometrics eventhough they sent me an RFE? I already sent it back, and it was delivered wednesday ..

but so far no update on my case status. I think it is still on hold :crying:

They just asked for my bio letter and driver's license. I had brought all of my NOA's and my passport too (haven't changed my name yet) but they didn't even want to look at that.

The alien no. is the Axxxxxxx on your NOA's.

My husband was allowed to come inside with me and sit and wait as they took my fingerprints and all. They didn't ask him for any ID or anything. My office was also in a bad neighborhood, didn't want to go by myself.

And the RFE should have nothing to do with you getting your bio's done. You will have to do them either way. Good luck! :thumbs:

My husband came with me at the center, he waited in the waiting area plently of empty chairs. They did not let him come in where they took biometrics. I brought my passport (marriage certificate just in case) & letter of Biometrics appointment. ;)

You will have no problem doing the bio with your RFE. Also when I sent my RFE back it got updated the end of the day after the day they received it. Your husband can go but if they don't have enough sitting room he'll be ask to wait in the car. However, it only take 15mins-30mins.

Really? Did they update your case status or did they send you one of those email notifications? or both?

We had our biometrics at 2pm in Omaha, and the same day we got touched (so my assumption is that they should have your biometrics data the same day).

The review and comparison of your name + biometrics against all the databases that I don't know how long it takes (if it comes back with 'no hit').
