Hi all,

We filed for my husband to adjust, and I just checked - there's a RFE for the 485. :(

This is the timeline:

Sent AOS - 5/12

Received - 5/13

NOA sent - 5/18

Touched (765, 485, 130) - 5/21

Received NOA - 5/22

RFE (485) - 6/4

Touched (all) - 6/4

Could they have sent the bio appt letter before sending the RFE?

Totally stressing about what they want that we haven't already sent....hope we get the RFE soon so that we can see (and send it back - quickly!).

We need this to proceed quickly so my husband can work! But it's nice to have other people who are going through the same process....

I got a RFE the day before you guys. I'm thinking it is for the 2009 taxes but I'm not sure. I did get my bio letter before I got the notice about the RFE. I've heard they can send a RFE at any point during the process, so you might still receive your bio letter.

I REALLY wish there was a table option for this. I think I have added everything, but I am guessing I have a lot of work to do re: formatting. On the other hand, we really do seem to be clicking along!

Maybe you should consider using google docs.

I feel bad for the April filers, some of them have not yet seen a biometrics letter. :(

I am an early May filer (AOS from F-1 student via marriage to USC) and have not yet received any biometrics letter... My I-485 was lastly touched on 05/07/2010 while the I-130, I-131, and I-765 were lastly touched on 05/19/2010. I called customer service on 06/01/2010 but the only thing they could do was issue a service request.

04/27/2010 - Sent I130, I131, I485, I765

I have no clue. But you might ask if you can get a new one since you lost it, I wouldn't mention the expired EAD though. I lost my driver's license while I was out of status and since they changed the rules in Texas that you now must have a valid visa to get a driver's license I just made an address change and got a new one :dancing:

We received the biometrics appointment notice today! :D

It's on 6/28, but it seems a lot of people have been doing walk-in's. Should we also try to go there earlier?

I did, was a little nervous about it but when I got there it went so smooth and they were really nice. It seems as it will speed up the process since we all got touches the same day or the day after on our cases. So my answer is, yes do it! :) The worst thing that can happen is that they tell you to come back on your appointment date. Good luck!

We got the bio notice today! It's for 6/21 - but I think we're going to try & go earlier to keep this process going. Crossing our fingers for the walk in to work!

Not sure about the RFE, ours is a little complicated b/c I'm a student (just graduated from law school) and haven't had real income for the past 3 years, but my parents filed as the joint sponsors so we'll see what happens!

Married - 3/12/10

AOS Filed - 5/13/10

Biometrics received - 6/5/10

Biometrics done - 6/9/10

RFE Received 6/10/10

RFE delivered - 6/29/10

Resumed processing - 6/30/10

EAD Production Ordered - 7/2/10, 7/8/10, mailed 7/15/10

Touched - 7/6/10, 7/8/10 (485, 765)

Touched EAD - 7/16/10

EAD Received!! - 7/17/10

My situation is similar, my husband is in school full time too. We have a joint sponsor so that should solve that problem. Though I'm sure they will ask us about that during the interview

Well weird thing happened , our I485 was touched again today ...They sent notice via text and email on Friday that they received our RFE and the case resumed , and the file was touched then , I am wondering could this touch be that they are sending the interview letter or is this wishful thinking on our part ????

The other thing is that it still is blue in the RFE circle , does that remain there till it goes further down the line like document production or something ??

Who knows why they are touching us?! I got a touch on my I-485 the day they sent out my RFE and the day after that which doesn't make sense to me at all. Will cross my fingers that it is for the interview letter though, how cool would that be? The first interview letter for the May filers already!! :dancing:

The other thing is that it still is blue in the RFE circle , does that remain there till it goes further down the line like document production or something ??

I think the online system is kind of new to them and you shouldn't trust it too much. I got an RFE when I applied for my H1B and I really don't remember if it moved ....oh yes it did move!! When they had made a decision and sent that notice, but not until then I believe.

Yeah , I think it being the interview letter is wishful thinking on our part ...but yes it would be extremely nice ...maybe they are just rechecking the file .. I would think now that they have gone to the file twice since we sent back the RFE that everything is now in order

I would send the copy. It is ridiculous that they are asking for it again, but I've heard that they sometimes lose documents that you send them which really should be unacceptable. I have not received mine yet, but our mail gets here late afternoon. Will call my attorney and check if they have received it (talking about unacceptable, my attorney is sooo slow!!) :diablo:
