Ok Folks, here we have it....

I wish I could say our passport was stamped and all that, but it wasn't that easy. We feel confident though, and all in all had a good experience.

Anyone know of another who has had a similar experience?? Such as being having a child and not having been married?? What do you guys think??

I think you will be alright. You know he's never been married so it might just take a little longer for the response, but I'm sure you'll be ok.

I don't have any experience with this since neither one of us have kids.

It sounds like it went well! I hope that she does not delay anymore. One idea (to maybe spead up the process) would be to see if you guys can get a letter from the Vital Division of his country stating that he has never been married and submit it to the IO.

OK guys, I had tried to edit my post to reflect our interview results.

It went well all in all. Got there at 10am. The whole interview took but 10 minutes. The IO only asked for things with both our names on it. I gave the IO our Bank statements, Car ins., Health ins., Life ins., Apt. lease, contract for appliances we bought on credit.

The IO was only concerned that my husband was not married before, as he has a child in Mexico, but never married. So, we were told everything was in order, but that they had to make sure there is not a marriage license out there on my hubby. We were of course confident, as he has never been married.

I was saddened that the IO did not want any photos other than the few I had sent with the original application, as I had printed over 300 photos this week at CVS and nobody got to enjoy them but us...waaaa

Anyway....Here's the wonderful part of it all. Got an email from USCIS this eve...Card Production ordered. Can it be???

Anyway, IO was very professional and straight forward with everything. Not scary at all, however not out to make friends either. We had none of that joking around other people have experienced. However we were impressed at the IO's professionalism and cordiality.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it:)

05/28/10 received all 3 NOAs

06/02/10 received biometric appointment notice

06/17/10 biometrics appointment scheduled

06/07/10 walk in Biometrics done (very nice people in San Antonio)

6/08/10 I-485 and I-765 touched.

7/12/10 Recieved interview letter for AUGUST 19, 2010 in San Antonio, Tx!!!

7/23/10 EAD Production ordered.

8/4/10 EAD application approval notice on USCIS website.

8/19/10 INTERVIEW 10:30 AM

8/19/10 I-485 CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED- EMAIL AT 1PM/ I-130 TOUCHED

We received the greencard on Friday, 17 days after our interview. The IO wasn't kidding when she said we would receive it before September.
