Talked to her, I misunderstood her. They told her the Policia Federal does not give out the certificates anymore, she was told she had to go to the Courthouse or (Forum) in Portuguese (sorry, I'm sure there is a accent on the "o" but I don't know it lol).

Apparently when she went to the Secretaria de Segurança Pública, they made her go to the Courthouse also...

Aaaaah, they don't ask for the one given by courthouses. If they don't it in her state, she could try and get it done in Rio, before the interview.

It took my girlfriend 22 days for her certificates (state and federal) to be ready. Since she's in Parana she had to pick them up in Foz do Iguacu. Her certificates have an expiration date of 90 days. This is the first I've heard that the Rio consulate will accept them for up to a year.

I heard they don´t accept the courthouse certificate at the consulate, didn´t come from the source though, so you can call and check.

Yeah my confusion is the Police sent her to the Courthouse, they told her they don't do that anymore. I can't believe they would make her to go Rio first to get Police Certificates.

You guys are right, they don't take Forum or Courthouse documents, I just read it in the instructions for Police Certificates

I've found on the SSP/MS the addresses where she can obtain the "atestado de antecedentes". Maybe this will help you.

So, you've mentioned before that she lives in Aquidauana. She can go to any police station, bringing her ID (RG) and the paper that shows she's paid the fee.

I just called the consulate. They said both the federal and the state certificate is valid for a year, even if it says 90 days on it.

I took the other trip to go ask for a new one, but I won't go back to pick it up. Or maybe I will if I pass nearby
