I was reading through the forums on what to do after you receive your NOA-2 and preparing for the next phases of the process. My employer requested I write the necessary letter and he would sign it for this part:

You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives.

My question is this:

Who do I make the letters out to? The Embassy in London? NVC? USCIS doesn't have the petition anymore...so what has everyone else done in the past in regards to this? It doesn't say on the guide and I couldn't find anything through search on the forums here. I certainly would not want to take some lame letter to the director of HR and ask him to sign it.

In the VJ Example forms for the Letter of Intent, they suggest changing the Recipient for the second Letter of Intent from Department of Homeland Security, USCIS to:

Department of State

US Embassy of Place (so London, England for you)

Maybe you want to look at that.

Naturalization N-400

Perfect! Thanks!

It would be nice if an admin would add that in to the rest of the "what to mail your fiance" section of the guide!

Woohoo!!! You finally got approved! CONGRATS!!

I mailed Dave that letter signed by HR, my I134, tax returns, tax transcripts, W2s, a copy of the K1 app, photos, paycheck stubs, etc. It was good to have it on hand, but it wasn't necearry. They just wanted his DS forms, photos, but ONLY the tax transcripts and the I134 from me.

I just pulled up the letter my HR lady drafted for me on company letterhead and it says:

Did your hubby have to have his medical IN London or were there doctors in Scotland he was able to use?

Did your hubby have to have his medical IN London or were there doctors in Scotland he was able to use?

I hope it's changed since, but in Dec it was Knightsbridge in London only. He was able to make an afternoon appointment and catch the sleeper train from Edinburgh and back without needing a hotel room. Knightbridge charges a premium for the medical and I believe we paid just under $200 for 5 minutes with a doctor, an Xray, and a bit of blood work.

Knightbridge's receptionist was a bit rude and wouldn't let him schedule the appointment until he had the P3 in hand, maybe because he didnt know what to ask for when he called. If he calls, your fiance needs to give the LND number, not the number you have been tracking. He also will need to take passport size pictures and vaccination records with him.

Remind your sweetie to get his shots done at his reg GP ASAP. If he doesn't Knightbridge will offer to do them at full price, or you can get them done in the US and pay a civil surgeon to transcribe the vaccination records. If you get them done in the US make sure your insurance covers it - or better yet - get them done at the local health department for a LOT less than a physician would charge out of pocket.

.. ok, end of my London medical rant!!!
