You need to contact check with the Philippine Embassy. You will need to get a new passport but they will help you. I am not sure how fast they are though.

You will still need to use your passport...if not expired, dont worry since your plane ticket has to be in your passport name. Just bring your greencard and marriage certificate for entry back into the US. If your airline allows you to change your name for the return trip, you can possibly get your passport renewed at the DFA with expedited processing...my wife renewed her passport there without the expedited processing and she got it back just short of a month...I believe she submitted it 11 january and got it back 2 feb this year.

Actually my passport will expire on 2013....and just wondering if it is necessary to change my last name?I

It is not necessary until it expires...just carry a copy of your marriage certificate when you fly. the greencard is only used when you enter the US again

Hello everyone who reply to my post....THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP...i've called the Philippine Embassy and they said that i just needed an AFFIDAVIT OF IDENTITY and authenticate it to the embassy.....! Thanks a lot guys

Why would the philippines embassy requires you to get an affidavit of identity when your main problem is coming in the US not entering the Philippines.

GC, marriage certificate and passport (maiden name) are the items mostly used in entering the US.

Another money making business by your philippines consulate?

I find it so funny that each philippines consulate has there own policies.

They said since i am using my married name on my plane ticket and my passport is in my single name,i need an affidavit of identity to make it sure that the name appears on the ticket, the gc and passport is ONE person...

contact the airline...i dont think your ticket can be in your married name unless your passport is...if it is in your married name and they will allow you to travel that way, just renew or ammend your passport in the PI...it's cheaper and quicker to do there anyway.

I hope you are close to your Embassy is close to where you live.. Good luck with that..But like I said check with the airline if they will take that to get on the airplane.
