top much power in their hands that how they can control peoples lives

just imagine if they had to be away from their loved ones

and think how children feel being away

it heart breaking

allit takes is one person to look over sent in docs and stamp the damm thing approved

it only took one person to deny

this is very hard and yes the hardest thing is being away from your spouse and live one day at a time

not knowing what the future holds or when it all happens

where did the HUMAN RIGHTS go???????

sorry if i sound fustrated

Hi Smurfette,

Im not just frustrated anymore, but going a bit insane too! I think we have been waiting the longest out of anyone on this forum as its been OVER 8 weeks for us. I faxed another letter over to my senator asking not just to fax or mail their inquiries to Montreal but to actually TALK to a person there as the prior attempts have done nothing. I understand that Montreal is backlogged, but they started reviewing the documents on April 20th so they have NO excuse now.

Has it taken anyone more than 8 weeks to hear back??? Our documents were proof of domicile which we had to send in for the second time.

i know how you feel

i am falling into a very deep depression and i call DOS and get same answer every time

They got my passports

i cant even see my husband as he is unable to come to canada

my children are sad and cry and i dont know what to tell them

i have emailed them no response going on 4 weeks since email

they received my documents apr 28 and all they wanted was a notarized letter from natural father giving permission and copy of his Id showing signature

i SENT them exact that

I find my self every day checking canada post tracking number

praying that it comes back showing something

this is very heart breaking and USA needs to do something about this

some USC shoudl contact the paper in washington Dc and tell them the story of this web site

let them publish peoples thoughts

make public aware how hard they make it for people doing it the RIGHT LEGAL way

cause right now

US immigration HOLDS OUR DESTINY.......

i think it complete non sense

i hope you get good news soon

as i hope for my self

I think everyone is just afraid to say anything while their visas' are being processed because we don't want to give Montreal another reason to delay or even deny because as you said, our destiny is in their hands! After people do receive their visas they are so happy that they forget about the whole ordeal so then what ends up happening is stories like ours just continue taking place. I've already sent a letter to my Senator stating how disappointed I am in the US immigration process and especially with the Montreal Consulate. I also mentioned that in other countries the process is a lot shorter and that people who have more complicated cases like criminal issues or what not have no problem, but law-abiding citizens like us are ignored. Something has to be done with Montreal...not with only the staff but also the way things are ran there. I do hope that both of us are out of this mess soon and that once we are, we shouldn't forget what we went through and actually take a step towards making sure other couples don't have to go through what we are.

The difference between us is that I can fly up to see my husband, BUT I've gone though multiple surgeries so I'm trying to rest-up so when I do have to fly up in mid-June it won't be a problem. I had even emailed Montreal about my surgeries but I never got a response back so I had to go through it all without my husband by my side. I haven't seen him for about 5.5 months and this is putting some strain on our marriage as well, but why would Montreal care.

Just hold on tight and hopefully everything will end up just fine...i know its easy to say and hard to do..but do we really have any other choice?

I will never forget this ordeal

and i strongly believe that everyone should take a stance cause i know after i am over there I will

like you said it hard for us because it could damage us here left behind

how can you fly there?

i dont have passports

i live in manitoba and they have a new drivers license that can be used for crossing by land i have applied but takes 4-6 weeks

by that time i am praying for a visa instead

I feel all your pain as I am in the same shoes as you.

Waiting for Montreal to act on your application is depressing and caused my BP to go up

I have a hairline of patience left and it's been 5 months we never got our interview schedule as promised

Even if you write email..nobody reads, nobody cares

We seek Congressman help already, still nothing happened.

Seems like everything's exhausted and I dont know what else will work..
