Anyone's case not been approved on website only to call in and find your I-130 had been approved.

Hello everyone,

I've read a post that said the USCIS webpage case status' are updated in "batches" and another that said they are only updated on the 15th of each month. Has anyone found this to be true? I'm wondering if any status checks are updated more frequently than others (ie. the operator has the most up to date info, then the automated message, then the website) or if one is updated they are all updated together?

I'm not the most patient person, so waiting is not my favorite, but I also don't want to waste everyone's time by calling in to the USCIS and speaking with an operator only to hear the exact same thing that the website and the automated message told me.

THANKS!!!

You should have an estimate of when your case should be approved. You shouldn’t get frantic a week after getting your NOA1. Do so only if it has been two or three months since your NOA1. By then you should be so frantic that you call USCIS once every few days and check the site every few hours.

My case has been updated on 27th and on the 29th of a certain month. So I think the website feeds from the same database as the telephone workers get to peruse. It would be asinine to have multiple systems of databases unless it was done for security reasons and the forward facing databases get updated every day to keep in sync. I also think the website gets updated more often than just once a month on the 15th. I could be wrong. I've been known to be wrong on many occasion, regarding many things in my life.

Be patient, young grasshoppah!

Our case was put on quickly but as of now it says we are still waiting for approval although we got our NOA2 in September. So the site certainly is not a real indication of anything.
