How do I keep fragrance in my house?

Hi everyone.

I have been doing few experiments on how to keep the fragrance in my house. I have tried different kind of scented candle lit up all the time but once I blow the fire, the smell goes out as well and hey of course its costly. I have tried reed diffuser, still don't work, and plug-ins just last for few days.

I would like to have something that will keep the house fragrant all the time.

Can somebody suggest something? Thank you!

Lillies, mind you, you have to like the smell of lillies and it's not exactly a cheap alternative.

Or bake bread but do not cook fish

you can put cinnamon sticks in water on the stove. let them boil. that stays around for awhile.

But say, I want the smell all month long and I just have to refill, or replace, or do whatever just once a month.

Fresias are another gorgeous smelling flower and of course roses although some of those can be a little subtle. Perhaps orange oils and the like? Whatever you do, I think you are going to have to continue to do it on an ongoing basis if you really can't stand the smell of your own house - or whatever it is that's prompting this need to have scents 24/7. Personally, I would steer clear of anything that is a reproduction of a smell - I think that's worse than natural smells, but that's me, I don't like chemical substitutions.

are you 100% sure that you're not used to the smell? once you smell something for awhile you just don't smell it anymore. sometimes i think my candle or air freshener isn't doing anything. then i leave the house or go outside and i can smell it when i come back.

And she uses this clock that has a refillable can that sprays like 2 times in one hour. That's something I would like to try this week.

The oils that you have to burn in a burner seem doesn't work.

That does sound quite possible, unless something unpleasant has been introduced to the house which is too strong for the freshners.

Now you make me wonder. I don't leave the house often times. But when I got out for a while, I dont seem to smell something.

Musty, moldy? If there is an underlying cause that hasn't been treated, it might be worth taking a look?

Its smells like wood.

And I have cleaned and looked, and I guess this place is just lil old but its clean and presentable.
