NVC.... If they do not get it, they will not forward an incomplete file to the consulate

NVC.... If they do not get it, they will not forward an incomplete file to the consulate

It's very confusing guys.

I called NVC this morning to find out the same thing that whether they need police certificate or not but operator said they don't need the police certificate at all. But their checklist letter mentions police certificate along with other two documents that were missing.

So I am not sure what to do? Should I send the Police certificate or not?

Its not confusing at all. You send all the paperwork which includes police certificates to the NVC. They forward your file to the embassy.

So you guys are saying that I should not pay attention to NVC Operator who told me that she is positive that they do not need police certificate even though it is mentioned in the check list of RFE that I got?Weird thing is that twice last week when I called, the operators only mentioned two other pieces of information that I did not provide but they never mentioned police certificate.

So the question is the NVC operator has less knowledge than the attorney working on the case at NVC?

Although like you are saying sending it won't hurt. I asked my wife to get it and it will take a week atleast to get it.

PCC are required at NVC, unless you submit compelling written attestation as to why you can't get them.

Seriously - READ ALL 7 pages in that link.

#######? Better Safe than Sorry? I'm sorry - this is really 'Better do it Right Way, instead of suffer RFE'.
