Hi ,

We got our NOA2 on Feb 4TH, which is still on "initial review" stage. This situation drive us crazy. We are at the edge of depression due to nothing able to see each other as much as we could and how slow this process is.

so we're considering if we should contact our congressman/woman of my State to see if there is anyway we could expedite or what could be the possible reason to take this long.

How long does this normally take for everyone??

So I'm not sure which congressman/woman I should contact. I live in Connecticut, and applied to Vermont service center.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

I'm not following. Your petition was approved on Feb 4th, or you received NOA1 - which is just them telling you they've received your file?

If they received your case on Feb 4th, then you're likely not outside the normal wait times for your service center. If the petition was approved on Feb 4th and has not moved to NVC since, then yes, I would ask for someone to intervene at this point.

I'll move this thread to the K1 progress forum so you can compare your case to others with similar timelines.

I don't think you got any NOA-2 yet.

When I studied yer timeline here, you have an NOA-1 date of 2010-02-10

Expect a wait of 150 to 180 days from that date, to the actual approval of the petition.

If it's approved prior to that, it's a blessing.

You've not even hit the '3 month mark' yet.

If yer timeline has 'wrong data' in it, please, take some time today, and fix it? Thanks !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
