Ofcourse not! She's from Tulsa. I will be in Tulsa in 59 days yeah! (L)

That's my hometown as well! Be sure to eat some good barbecue and Mexican food while you're there, and maybe some Hideaway Pizza too... and you're visiting during tornado season, I'm jealous!

Thanks!

I'm the Finnish girl and he is the USC. He is much older, which is just making this much harder for us. We have just begun to look for information and print the forms, so we aren't yet far at all.

Ok so not send out anything yet either. Good luck with everything.

It would be interesting to hear about couples who where denied a K1 based on age.

That is crazy! When you are talking about mexican food, do you mean Quapo (guess I spelled it right).

Thats the place I had my first date with my girl.

I don't think so! I am more worried about my age difference problem. I have heard the age doesn't mean anything to them. All they want to know is that you really will marry her because you love her and not to get the citizenship. It depends on the country as well, how hard the Embassy is etc. Your interview will decide a lot, just make sure to act mature enough.

hey!

Age or Age difference wasn't a problem for us.

They approved us at the AOS Interview.

We had A LOT of evidence, especially a lot of photos, which the Officer wanted to see most.

The only question he asked me was; "So you got married when you were 18??" and I just said YES. that was it ...

My hubby,USC, is 8 years older than me <3

I don't think that you will have a problem, when you bring enough evidence

Good Luck

Like others have said your age should not be a problem, you are not really even that young. I am 22 and my wife is 20 (21 and 19 when we were married) and we sailed right through with our I 130, although I am not sure what will happen at the interview (we have to go through Guayaquil unfortunately). I know a couple that started the CR1 spousal process when they were both 18 a couple of years ago and had absolutely no problems because of age.

My husband (fiance-at-the-time) sent our I-129F only 2 days after I turned 21. Everything worked just fine! :)

Dear Everyone,

During my college year 2008-2009 I fall in love with the love of my life, a girl from Oklahoma.

She visited me twice this year in Holland and I will be leaving to be with her for two months during my schoolbreak this summer.

We are planning to get engaged and start the K1 process. We are both 21 years of age now. After the K1 Process will be finished and we are allowed to get married we both will be 22.

A question that rises is, are we old enough to get a K1 visa? Do they accept our relationship?

She has enough funds to support me financially.

Please let me know,

Thank you.

Brian

there is no age restriction per se. You must be of legal age to be married in the state you inted to marry in. You are. There is no need to prove "relationship" for the petition, you must only neet the requirements to file a petition

1. Able to marry

2. Written letter you intend to marry within 90 days of her arrival

3. The petitioner must be a US citizen

4. You must have met in person at least one time in the past 2 years.

That is all. Whether they accept your relationship for the issuance of a VISA at the consulate latyer is another matter entirely. Keep good and accurate records of your relationship

You'll be fine. :) I immigrated about a month after I turned 20 to be with my husband. At this point I would focus on bringing together evidence which establishes that you have a legit relationship. As well, I'd look into the financial scheme of things. Make sure you make 125% over the poverty line, and if you don't, be sure that you find a co-sponsor for your case. Good luck. :)
