I can't remember where I surrendered my sealed medical exam results...was it at my interview or was it at the point of entry? The reason I ask is that I've just been sent a request for evidence for my medical exam results in order for them to process my adjustment of status! But the rules clearly say that fiance visa applicants do NOT need to fulfil this requirement. Kind of hard to do since I had to give them my medical exam results in order to enter the country! Just can't remember who I gave them to. Please help!

you would have handed it over in the brown evelope at POE.

I got the same RFE last year, and we immediately called our State Senator's office Immigration liason and explained the situation. They were quite familiar with K visas (we had had to call them to step in every step of the way!) and eventually they found out that USCIS had "misplaced" my medical file.

I wrote a letter to USCIS in response to the RFE (after the immigration liase has assured me he had spoken to USCIS about it) and reminded them of the K requirements to complete the medical in their home country and that it was turned in at the POE as per their own rules. I also noted that all of my vaccinations were complete and listed in the original medical exam.

That worked for me, and I successfully completed my interview in February of this year and got my green card.

Your mileage may vary.

I beleive they are talking about the vaccination supplement that you should have received from teh doctor who performed your medical. The form is DS2030. You need to contact one of the civil surgeons listed on the USCIS website and have them convert the results to the new medical form. You do not need a new medical if you have the DS2030 vaccination supplement. Some civil surgeons may tell you that you do but just call around and find one that does not. If you did not receive the DS2030, you will need to have a new medical and send them the form in a sealed envelope.

Thanks a lot. That is what we are doing right now (writing a letter including a print off of their own rules regarding medical exams and K-1 visas) and RESENDING my vaccination results. Can I ask, how long was it between sending this letter and receiving your green card?! Thanks again.

Correction....it is the DS3025 that needs to be converted to the I-693A by the Civil Surgeon. Did you send that??? If so...then I would call as Reba said. If you did not send the I-693A then you would need to do that.

Ya, we got that converted and sent that already. It's not the 693 supplement that they wanted, (they had that already) it was the actual 693 form...which I already gave them! Thanks, though :)

Sorry about that.....That is pretty horrible.......:yes: However, if it is any consolation...... your experience does help me...We are getting everything ready to file AOS at the end of August.....I think I will include a letter with our packet saying that the actual 693 should already be in the file since it should have been in the sealed brown envelope that we turned over at POE.....

Be very careful there have been a few people who have done as you intend on doing.... writing to USCIS and pointing out that you dont need another medical.... and within a few weeks they have recieved a denial of AOS for failing to send the required medical.... do a search and I am sure you will find the posts....

Yikes. Are you serious? That is so *#&$^$ up! How can they request something that we've already given them and then deny our application for not giving it to them? Something is seriously wrong with this entire process!

That sux, but hey at least I know if we get an RFE for medical just go take the whole thing over again, it could save you from getting a denial. I looked at the X-Ray bag and the reciept for my fiance's exam is in there, I think I will include a copy of reciept, copy of DS 3025 and the sealed envelope from the civil surgeon. Then I'll cross my fingers and hope everything goes well.
