Timeline

Hey there, I think it would be neat if we could all hear from some of the MENA people who are in European countries and just share a little about your experience and anything else.

I´ll start....

My fiance is Moroccan and we met while I was studying in Spain and he was working there. He has been in Spain for almost seven years and we lived there for about three years together until I came back to the US in January 2010.

We started the K-1 process and filed February 11, 2010 and are awaiting our NOA2. We are praying this process goes by quickly and we can finally be together soon! :innocent:

Our Timeline

Oct ~ 2007 We met

Apr 26, 2008 We got engaged

Jan 14, 2010 Left Spain alone to the US to work & begin immigration

Feb 11, 2010 Mailed our I-129F and received NOA1

May 05, 2010 NOA2

May 10, 2010 NVC Confirms receipt & that packet sent to Madrid today

May 14, 2010 Madrid receives case and I receive a job offer!!!

May 20, 2010 Packet 3 Received

May 24, 2010 Packet 3 Sent

Jun 14, 2010 Packet 4 Received

Jul 08, 2010 Flight to Spain to see my baby!

Jul 29, 2010 Return to US

Aug 09, 2010 Medical Exam

Aug 11, 2010 Interview in Madrid

Aug 12, 2010 My "interview" with Madrid

Aug 16, 2010 Put on AP

Sep 15, 2010 Flight home to me

Sep 17, 2010 Married!

Feb 04, 2010 Green Card Interview- Approved

USCIS\NVC Journey:

07/20/08 - Got Married

07/21/08 - Applied for I-130 for my wife as spouse of a LPR

09/14/09 - Birth of our Son in Italy

09/28/09 - NOA2. Approval of my wife I-130

10/20/09 - NVC Finally receives her case

10/21/09 - Added my son to her petition at NVC since LPR kids are derivatives

12/20/09 - Became a U.S Citizen

12/21/09 - Filed I-130 for my son

01/20/10 - Wife's case at NVC upgraded to CR1

02/28/10 - Case Complete

03/10/10 - Interview date received, April 15th, 2010

04/05/10 - Filed Expedite for my Son's I-130

04/08/10 - Expedite Approved by CSC, I-130 approved

04/14/10 - Medicals done for my wife and Son

04/15/10 - Wife's Visa approved

04/15/10 - Sent an expedite to NVC regarding my Son's case

04/16/10 - Paid IV Bills/AOS Bill for my Son's case

04/21/10 - Sent AOS/DS-230+supporting docs to the NVC

04/22/10 - Expedite approved

04/28/10 - Son's case file to sent to the Consulate, Italy!

05/06/10 - Consulate called to notify of interview date, MAY 20, 2010

05/20/10 - Interview - Approved

05/21/10 - Pick up Visa @ the consulate

05/22/10 - POE, WAshington Dulles!

05/22/10 12AM - Best Night of Sleep of my life!

Timeline

My husband is moroccan and we met in morocco but he was going to school in France so we prossesed our cr1 visa in Paris. I stayed with him during my school breaks

Met: 2004-07-18

Islamic marriage: 2006-07-31

Marriage : 2008-12-27

Entry San Fran 2009-09-27

Hubby is HOME!!!!

Received SSN 2009-10-06

Received welcome letter 2009-10-10

GREEN CARD!!! 2009-10-13

Driver's License 2009-10-26

HUBBY FOUND A JOB!!! after about 4 months of being here :)
