If i am using a joint sponsor then do i still have to send in my tax transcripts and w2 my last job was 2 years ago

First of all you have to fill out an I-864 as well.

If you are sending actual tax transcripts that you obtained from the IRS, then just send the transcript (no need to send W2s).

If you are sending the 1040, then you must also include all slips (like W2s).

I personally will recommend to sent the the w2s with either the 1040 or transcripts.. is best for you to have more.. [personal opinion].
