I'm just pissed. I really hope there's something in the mail soon. The local office is 3 hours away and I'll be starting my new job soon so I don't know when I'll be able to make time for an InfoPASS. Uff, this is so annoying. Today is exactly 5 weeks since POE and effin' nothing.

Johanna, check your I-130 NOA2. It should be there.

When I was here on J1 I didn't have an alien number, it's only for immigrants.

Nothing on my mail either... so annoying... at least none of us are getting the mail, so I'm not so freaked since it seems to be 'normal'. I think we should start to worry if everyone receives it but us.

Sachi, I also went in person to the SS office and still nothing. My guess is that the airport didn't send the package yet, otherwise I should have my SS card by now. I think my SSN update is stuck waiting for USCIS approval.... what do you think?

Yes, I think that's it. They are waiting for DHS clearance and DHS can't verify the # unless we're in the system. For that to happen, the airport needs to send them our POE envelope. This is such BS. I want to call O'Hare but I feel like I will tear my arm off and beat someone with it if I hear the lame excuse that airports are busy.

Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since I applied for the annotation to be removed on the SS card.

Round of phone-calls scheduled for tomorrow and Monday.

It really isn't there! I'v checked over and over, I don't think I'm going blind but who knows with all this other BS going on,haha!

I was saying the same thing to hubby, atleast I'm not the only one of us who haven't gotten anything, at that point I would have been really (well,even more) freaked out.

It's okay, Yohino. Husby says the A-Number isn't on his NOA2, either. I don't know. The documents are all with him. So he's scanning the NOA1 and NOA2 to me tonight. I can't remember seeing it, though. Otherwise I would have written it down on my Important Number list.

Exciting news! I'm signing the lease on the apartment tomorrow! The move-in isn't until October, but I'm still all sorts of excited.

I say no worries about the A-Number being on the NOA2 or not. It's on the visa itself as "Registration Number" and should be written in during your POE. That should be enough.

Hey guys, what the f- is an A number?? :rofl:

My hubby has on his Visa a registration number with 8 numbers and no letters in it. As for writing at the POE there was only a persons initials from JFK and some numbers JUN****. His visa is an "immigrant visa with the IV Case number".

He went to our SSN office today and they printed out his number for him and said his card will come in 2 weeks. So at least he can go get a CA drivers license, but nothing in the mail yet.

The A# is your alien registration # or the REGISTRATION NUMBER printed on your visa beneath your case #.

Dont worry if the A# is not written on the admission stamp. They didn't write anything for me and I was able to get SSN updated and stuff.

Nothing in the mail yet... what the f**** is going on????
