We're baaack in the states! everything went off very well and PoE (New York - JFK) was very easy. lasted about 15-20 min (probably b/c not too many passengers came in at the time of the day that we landed). After we handed in our sealed package, the immigration officer (IO) asked us how long we had been married (about a year we said). then he shuffled thru our pages and couldnt seem to find the medical (apparently the VFS or embassy folks didnt put it in), to which he asked if my wife had any communicable diseases and if the doctor had told her anything (are you pregnant or anything like that). He said that "I guess it doesnt really matter" to the medical report (shows you how much importance that doc is in the real world here in the US). My wife said no, then he handed all the docs to us, stamped the passport, took her finger prints digitally and her picture and then told us to get her finger prints taken again (this time physically for the green card). we went and took our fingerprint (lasted like 10-15 min), joked around with the IOs who were talking world cup soccer and liked my wife's jersey (she was wearing a Messi Argentina shirt). They then gave her back the passport and said good luck. We then collected our baggage. Very easy. apparently we were the only Cr-1 visa coming in at that time. no one else coming in as CR-1 at that time. The IO who was busing people was also very friendly and was even helping us with our luggage (since we were the last ones to have our bags in the baggage carousel).

Anyway, how's everyone else doing? Congrats to all the 3rd week approvals and best of luck to the upcoming interviewers! It feels great to be done with all of this!

Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale - My beautiful wife Soni

For employment letter that our spouse need to have at Interview, what info should be there.

- name, work address

- All work phone, office phone, office cell

- email

- Title and duration of the employment.

What other info?

- How about salary info

- Any other

Please let me know :innocent:

You could (and should) review what was submitted for the I-864,

then check to see if any changes, from the time it was filed, to interview day.

IF MAJOR CHANGES on USC Spouse's income, then be prepared for new I-864 to hand over on Interview Day.

FWIW, VFS will accept a copy of what was already submitted at NVC. I hate this 'extra paper collection' ####### for India, but it is what it is - all submitted once into NVC, VFS has other requirement to 'see it again' prior to interview.

This would be a good time, as well, to add in any new payslips, and IF a tax year has passed since the I-864 was filed (IE - TY 2008 data submitted, not any TY 2009) then get the TY 2009 data to add in to the I-864.

Good Luck !

re: innocent tag - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr someone should be reading this, on your behalf.... Seriously.

Congratulations to everyone with good news!

MSP, I'm happy to see you're back with us, too.

Did any of you June interviewers include the I-130 copy in your/SO package? Is this necessary? What about the NOA2/Approval of Petition?

Yes, Ma'am. Husby had a copy of every document we ever sent or received during this process. He actually forgot it at home and had to turn around to get them. Of course, they weren't used, but we both have the idea of "better safe than sorry."

And....
