Hello everyone, my interview is in 5 days, and im leaving on Monday for Egypt to be with my husband, getting very excited. Best wishes to everyone else with June interviews and have a great weekend. (F)

my wife paid the VFS today and got the receipt. that pretty much ends the last of the official docs that are needed. now the last thing she'll get tomorrow is a couple of affidavits from friends and family and then we'll be completely prepared! seriously, i'm at my wits end with this stupid process. I, OTOH, am flying to India on the 7th and will get there on the 9th and meet up with my wife and my parents. together we all accompany my wife to the interview on the 10th (of course we will be waiting in the american citizens waiting area while she interviews). Lots of moving parts - hopefully all WILL go well!

Good luck to all; SJ you're a day before mine - how's your wife handling everything? you guys ready?

I think you can have your medical anytime after you get the interview letter from NVC. You can go on the website of Islamabad Embassy and read about the medical. Where to go and what to take to the medical. Me and my husband were looking at the medical information yesterday and it didn't say you had to wait until 2 weeks before the interview.

My wife is *almost* ready for the interview on the 9th. I am gonna send her the last two pieces of information today, i.e. my most recent paystubs and a scanned copy of my Indian passport on which I had travelled when I went to get married since I wasnt a citizen then. I also need to send her a format for the friends/family proof of marriage letter. Does anyone have a sample? Or maybe someone could point me to where I can find it on VJ.
