I checked our little countdown and it's 10 days until our interview. It made my heart skip a few beats. I think I'm going to the river today to clear my fears.

Its the long weekend!! Even longer for those who just got reunited with their loved ones, hehe. I am getting ready to prepare all the evidence. Get picture printed and get everything together to send to the wife otherwise I am in deep trouble, haha. Lets rock June!!!!!!!

My interview has been moved forward. From the 22nd June to the 1st June I'm so excited. Can't freaking wait!!!!

Meanwhile I"m so nervous...leaving Seattle in 6 days to fly to Hong Kong for hubby's interview. I confirmed with the US Embassy in Hong Kong that I won't be allowed inside the interview room but can wait in the waiting room. But I'm still so nervous. So worried if I have missed anything obvious for our evidence package. It sucks because we talk a lot on the phone (daily since Nov. 2008) but we don't e-mail/write to each other a lot. And our phone record...I use Skypeout subscription and they only store call records for 6 months...so since I didn't start printing them out early I'm only able to get the history from Dec. 2009...Oh, and my hubby couldn't get his cell phone record neither..

At least i visited Hong Kong 4 times already and we do have some pictures/wedding congratulations card...hopefully that will help. I also added his name to most of my credit cards so we both have our own card on the same accoung, and a joint saving account as well. Also we filed taxes jointly this year and I have the tax transcript already...

Anything I miss...? So worried...Between now and my flight on the 4th, I am going to be working 72 hours...I'm so tired...worried/nervous...

Hope it will all work out at the end...Hope we all have (good) news for June!!

Guys, dont freak out - I think we'll all do just fine. I've just come back after spending 4 hours at the inept Indian consulate (from 8 AM to 12 pm) in NY and am happy to say that after all that struggling, waiting, yelling and screaming and wheeling and dealing, that I got my OCI card and unrestricted rights to go to India. So now I indeed can go for my wife's interview on the 10th :dance: ...btw, if you EVER wanna feel what its like to get punched in the balls, just go deal with the indian administrative system... :bonk:

btw, there were actual newspaper reporters covering what was going on and how s****y the Indian gov't treats its own people. no doubt this will be at least in the New York Daily News (as one of the reporters there was taking pics and i even talked to him) perhaps tomorrow or monday/tuesdays...

now to just battle the a**, i mean ash cloud, the british airways strike and oh yea, my wife's Actual interview on the 10th!!! fun fun fun

so finallyyyyy I am on vacations....yayyyy

on Tuesday I am travelling to Santo Domingo and spend the night there ( hopefully I will go to Robi Draco Rosa 's concert heheh ) and next day at 5.00 a.m I should be in front of the door of the Medical center to do my medicals...I am returning that same day to my home...and wait until the next week to receive my hubby...

Good luck to everyone with week 1 June interviews!

I'm kind of freaking out about the short time I have to get everything prepared. As per usual, work was crazy nuts and demanded all of my attention until the last day of my contract. One of my co-workers asked me if I was going to come in next week and do any more work and I was like ummmm, NOOOOOOOOO! Then I came down with a wicked cold, of course! Starting to be on the mend and am trying to get this house prepared for me to go away for the summer and for the chance that my husband will come home with me. Then also trying to get the evidence put together and be ready to get on a plane in a week. I don't even care about the other stuff I am just so damned happy to be seeing him again! I can't believe it's almost here and have never looked forward to anything more in my life! I'm glad we'll have 3 weeks before our interview to be together so this process can't spoil the reunion with too many worries. We can put that off a week or so. LOL!
