Well that is a problem too because my middle name is also a common name.. so they would be doomed either way .. I like the fruit name idea.. Or just bang on the keyboard sdgoosdfjio <-- that will be my kids name.

Actually, it could be normal.

I had the same experience.

I called, they said it arrived, time was about normal for what everyone was reporting the May 06 timeframe, called again, they said AP, I thought "oh no", then the petition went it merry way in concert with the flow, and nothing out of the ordinary happened.

It seems that just means it's one of their check points, actually probably the first DOS check point, not USCIS -- two separate Government Agencies.

When I asked what does AP mean, the person on the NVC phone told me it was "with Washington Agencies."

I thought, ok, probably like FBI, CIA, DIA, NSA, USA, whoever XIA doing more background checks.

Since I've been checked from here to wherever and back, I just brushed it off.

I'd guess that in about six to eight weeks yours could be sent onward and show up at your embassy.

All embassies are different ya know so yours will take its own time.

that is so true. we decided to name our kids " Pineapple and tangerine"

I have a very common name for a scottish person (my dad is scottish) I have the same name and him and his dad and his dads dad and so on so on.. Well it just happens that there are a couple IRA members that have our name too.. So flying is a hassle.. eventhough im a USC the second they see my passport or ID they take it away and go to the back.. I have a little form I was given a while back that states "This guy is cool leave him alone he is not in the IRA" but I still get hassled... So I will name my boy Sue..
