I hate to be negative, I am usually as positive as possible.....but I am in bit of a bad mood tonight, and just need to get it all out I guess. I just called NVC once again, now they are saying my case is in AP. I am getting so depressed, first I had to watch everyone get approved before me while I sat in security checks for six months waiting for my NOA2, now I have to watch everyone leaving NVC within a couple of days or so, while I am sitting there in AP.......it just does not seem fair. I just don't understand, why they have to do this to us? Well, I guess I do, but it still sux!!!!!!! I am hoping and praying I am not in for another freaking 6 month wait just to get out of NVC. This process really takes a toll on your emotions, body and soul. It's really taking a toll on my fiance too, I try to do as much as I can from so far away to make him feel better, but I feel so helpless, being so far away from him. Thank you all for your continued support and listening to my little self pity party tonight. I just had to type it all out, it makes me feel better when I know I am getting out and someone is listening. Thanks again you guys.

Name/Security checks are a normal process with NVC/consulates but the wait time at NVC is generally not too long as cases can and will be forwarded to the consulate prior to the name/security checks being cleared. Administrative processing usually refers to a legally mandated security check the Department of State (NVC) must do for all applicants/beneficiaries over the age of 16. The length of time one can be held up in administrative processing will vary as some countries are subject to closer scrutiny. The process normally takes four to six weeks but as I said it can be much longer. Fingerprints are sometimes required at consulate level but this is all a part of the initial administrative processing that began at NVC. Once an interview is held a visa will not be issued until/unless clearance has been received. In most cases (again dependent of country), administrative processing will be completed and clearance granted well before an interview is even held.

sometimes people dont understand. they think its something YOU did. there are others in your situation too. the best way I cope with it is keep really busy.

Well it just happens that there are a couple IRA members that have our name too.. So flying is a hassle.. eventhough im a USC the second they see my passport or ID they take it away and go to the back.. I have a little form I was given a while back that states "This guy is cool leave him alone he is not in the IRA" but I still get hassled... So I will name my boy Sue..
