Who paid to bring them here? Nobody in most cases. I live in town that 40% Hispanic and there are lot of illegals in the poultry and construction industries. Nobody is paying for deportations because the jobs died up for the unskilled workers and the Feds took over an old jail and turned it into a detention facility for criminals without the proper immigration documents. Should be interesting to see the census figures coming out later.

What massive infringement? Cops pull over drivers all the time and only find if we have licenses and valid insurance regardless of the original reasonable suspicion for making a stop. There are plenty of times when there's an ivestigation of a crime and it's simply stupid not to boot out those committing crimes or not being able to ask about their citizenship status. I lived abroad and had to report to the local police every year with a valid adress and work sponsor. Was I offended by their laws? No, but then again there weren't enough foreigners to protest anything but it wasn't my country and I didn't pretend to have special rights as a noncitizen.

There are many ways people come to be here illegally, including simply going out of status. Criminals should be prosecuted, and many times jailed. Guess who is paying for the illegals locked up you speak of?
