Hi everyone,

I received 6 emails today....3 each for my wife and step daughters I-130's...had to laugh same email 3 times each. We still have not received an rfe for our I-129f though, i contacted my congressman and they are looking into the delay as well as having called the USCIS and put in an inquiry...we'll see what comes of that.

I do have a question in regards to the I-130. I understand that the I-130 for my step daughter is concidered a companion case although a separate petition. When the ds-3032 is generated how is that handled in regards to my step daughter?...Am i correct in thinking that my wife signs it for her (she is 5) naming me as the agent? Any thoughts?

Have you looked at the 'Timesavers' where the choice of agent can be done by email rather then using the actual DS-3032. Your wife can send an email for both herself and your step-daughter.

You can find me on FBI

Congratulations! First celebrate! Anyway, we took care of our choice of agent by emailing NVC. As a beneficiary, your wife should email NVC, as soon as NVC generates the choice of agent, Ds 3032 form. She can request NVC to appoint you as her choice of agent. Of course, in the same email, she should also requst NVC to appoint you as her daughter's choice of agent. NVC email is: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

When you email NVC, you need to put the case number on the subject line. For Choice of agent, she should put two case numbers, her and daughter's on the subject line. And in the email, she should mention name and date of birth of you, her, and the daughter.

In about 1-2 from now, NVC will generate case numbers for both beneficiaries. Then after about 1-2 week, the choice of agent form (DS 3032) and AOS fee bill will be generated at the same time. Please have the NVC phone number handy, 603-334-0700, option 1 for English, then option 5 for an operator. Operators' assistance is available from Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to midnight eastern time. The automated system is available 24-hour a day, 7-day a week. Same phone number, Option 1, again Option 1, then option 2 (to enter NVC case number).

Good luck to you and your family.
